Perfect winter's day for sailing at The Bus Stop.
There was something in the air today - breeze! What a cracker day for some fun racing at our favourite lake. It was warm, fine, and lots of sun with a light SW breeze coming all the way down the lake. 15 sailors agreed and turned up to race. It was so good that Adrian from Monganui in the far North came for a sail and enjoyed it. Bob (nude sail) brought his brand new DF65 out for its first sail. He sailed well and enjoyed the day, the boat went well too. Nice to have Cliff 115 join us today.
We invited sailors with A+ rigs to sail with us today as a number of them are sailing the Auckland Champs on Saturday. Five came and they had good wind to tune their skills with the bigger rigs. They started 30sec behind the fleet and didn't have it all their own way.
Wonderful all round sailing today with plenty of winners and a lot of enjoyment.
Two RTW's to finish the day were won by Garry 54 and Pete 179.Â
