There were a lot of skippers who didn't get to race today at The Bus Stop.

I was really pumped and ready for some hot racing today. I arrived at the lake at 12:40 to find Nigel 168 and Clive 997 launching their boats, so I also launched ready to race. We started racing at 1:00 pm on the dot in about 2knots of breeze from the SE. I was constantly looking over my shoulder to see when the other skipper would arrive. At about 2:00 pm I checked again, but all that was there was a lady with a baby in a pram. She said she would like to race, but there were no other ladies with babies to race against, so she walked off around the lake.

That really was all the excitement we had during the afternoon. No Kent 717 ramming Pete 248, or Lester 17 out front, or Harry 555 wondering what he had done wrong, Rob 501 yelling out "Starboard", you get the picture. It was so quiet you could hear a duck quack!

So, we three raced and raced and raced all afternoon and had a wonderful time because the wind filled in and we didn't have to wait for the stragglers to finish. We carried tradition through and completed a hard fought RTW to finish the day, which was won by Pete 179, with Nigel 168 second and Clive 997 in third.

A very enjoyable, but tense afternoon sailing our DF65's
Enjoy the photos, because a lot of you didn't enjoy the sailing!
