A messy wind today at The Bus Stop.
Ten happy skippers arrived today to what looked like a very nice breeze.
Nigel 168 scratched his head over the course then set one. If it didn't work out, then a change would happen. we started racing and oh what a shamble we had. The direction of the wind, sort of South, but with huge swings. Added to this was the direction of the wind allowed the big tree on the point to really stir it up. Some interesting comments ensued from various quarters.
Nigel made a change, and that improved things considerably making the course much more sailable. Big holes sometimes allowed the leader to sneak away to a healthy lead and of course good wins. Lots of fun comments today, usually involving another skipper's misfortune.
Three RTW's raced, two conventional won by Nigel 168 and Garry 54 and one unidirectional won by Pete 179. Rob 54 shot off in the other direction from Pete and nearly pulled off a thriller. Good thinking Rob.
A couple of rough videos, one shows the wind conditions we sailed in.
Enjoy the photos
