Top end and over A rig breeze straight down the lake and 28 degrees of sun. Seven sailors couldn't resist the urge to master the strong wind. After a couple of races Gary decided a B rig would give him some more control and it did. Nice to have Graham on 104 back for another session.

Racing started and the wind was definitely strong with boats struggling up and down wind. After a couple races skippers got the feeling of the conditions and with a few adjustments managed to race much better with some thrilling rides.

Everyone experienced the occasional wipe out and some were seen staggering across the lake trying to tack or gybe, or anything for that matter!

Graham took the honors for the day with Nigel sailing to some excellent wins later in the day. Well done everyone who came and had a go, you will have learnt something. By the way Garry's B rig was the killer rig for the day and he was right in the hunt when the A Rigs were overpowered.

Merry Christmas everyone from the Tauriko DF65 group.

We are racing Monday next week at 1:00pm if you need a blowout after Christmas dining - come and race. Out of town visitors are welcome - A Rigs or smaller.
