3am Friday and I woke early. A couple of quick website updates, packed a bag and by 4.30am I was on the road south for the Wellington Trifactor…
Drizzle all the way to the desert road where it fined up for the photo
I like to take a photo of our beautiful mountain each time I pass. Snow was quite low for this time of year. Lucky skiers. The wind would have been a good 40 knots up there as usual. One day we are going to race a contest on one of the many lakes windy lakes up there, plenty to choose from.
Hit Parapararumu at lunchtime and found the lake and local rest rooms, no problems.
12.30 and the DF65 boys started pouring in.
By 1pm there were 15 Df65 floating around in A or A+ conditions.
A great afternoon with a practise race, 7 scoring races (results)
And then a couple of around the North Island fun races to finish.
Great company and hard core sailors in very trying conditions today. Great Fun, thank you.
Friday night I retired to a recommend camp ground nearby at Paekakariki camp ground
