Everything aligned today to make the trip to Whakatane Sunday, I was looking forward to the Whakatane 1pm session :)
I arrived one hour early so put my DF65 on the water and checked the wind direction all over the course.
Unfortunately the wind direction today had the breeze rolling over the houses in front causing the wind to scatter.
A very unstable breeze all over the course.
Soon the locals started rolling in. The dingy was launched and the start line was adjusted, racing got under way thereafter.
A big 2 lap course with plenty of wind shifts. Good racing with everyone being on the right side of the shift at one stage or another.
Great company and plenty of laughs. I'm look forward to catching up with the EBOP team for another session soon this summer :)
