We've had some light breezes at Tauriko lately, but this one took the cake. When we turned up there was no wind and we just drifted around waiting. Pete put up a course that looked very optimistic and everyone rallied around the start. Strangely enough we managed to complete the course. Keith stood back and watched the inaction before deciding to join in.

Nigel took the precaution of having Rescue 1 at the ready should a problem occur and it did. Tim and Rob were tangled and drifting toward the Raupo. Rescue 1 did a fine job of on the water untangling and the boys were back racing. We had a plague of weed hunks and a strange bloom on the water to deal with as well.

However, racing was had by the eight skippers. It was testing, but as the saying goes we were all sailing the same water. Another enjoyable day out in the fresh air having fun.
