Introduction
This is a race day, Practice sail, Social gathering and promotion of our Class of racing yacht. Even if you do not intend to race please read this and comprehend its aim.
Of note you need to take note of the red and green writings as these effects everybody.
Dates
Saturday the 19th December 2020 will be laid out as a practice day. A course will be laid from 9:00am and will be taken up at 2:00pm. This will give the organising personal a feel for the racecourse and how to effect on race day.
Sunday the 20th December is to be the race day. Courses will be set by 9:00am and the briefing will be at 9:00am with sailing commencing shortly after.
After lunch as is traditional we will have the photo shoot and in line sailing shots. This is very important as I need as many J’s in attendance for a future promotion of our class
Eligibility
The regatta is open to current paid up members of the Canterbury J class Association with a currently certified yacht. All boats are subject to basic measurement at registration and may be subject to spot checks at any time. Measuring of yachts is to be taken in a timely manner and no yacht will be measured after dawn of Wednesday the 16th of December
