Crickey, the breeze was up at The Bus Stop.

Today was one of those out of the bag days when you have a bit of everything.

We had twelve skippers, plenty of wind, some sun, and some rain. Excellent ingredients for a thrilling afternoon's sailing and racing.

Nigel 168 set a gate top and bottom for the course with a race of two laps. With the breeze lifting, we got started. It was plain to see that we have been sailing in light conditions for a while. A few dives and spinouts off the wind sharpened us up quickly.

Cliff 115 and Garry 54 made the decision to change down a cog and clothed up with their B Rigs. That was ok for a while then the wind came back to a lower and more steady breeze, so another clothes change took place.

There was a noticeable amount of barging on the starts, and with increased breeze and higher boat speeds barging causes a shambles. Remember, if you get caught, do your penalty. Also remember you have probably ruined a legal starter's good start. Just saying!

About 3:00pm a nasty squall came in and shut us down with cold rain. So off home for a hot cuppa tea and a lie down.

Get well soon greetings to Adrian 134, we are thinking about you and hope to see you back on the helm shortly.

Thank goodness we had some breeze today. There are videos of some quite good action, so check them out.

Enjoy the photos
