For the Banana Bread:
3 to 4 ripe bananas (thawed if previously frozen)
⅓ cup melted unsalted butter
1 large egg
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1½ cups all-purpose flour
For the Cream Cheese Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 5×9-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
Prepare Banana Bread Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Stir in the melted butter, egg, sugar, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Add the flour and mix until just incorporated.
Prepare Cream Cheese Filling:
In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, egg, sugar, and flour until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the Bread:
Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Dollop half of the cream cheese mixture over the batter.
Top with the remaining banana bread batter, followed by dollops of the remaining cream cheese mixture.
Using a butter knife, gently swirl the cream cheese mixture into the banana bread batter to create a marbled effect.
