Full Recipe:
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 large egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for glazing)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Shape Meatloaf: Transfer the meat mixture into a lightly greased loaf pan. Press down gently to form a loaf shape.
Glaze: Spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the top is browned.
Rest and Serve: Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moist and flavorful meatloaf.
