Full Recipe:
3 very ripe bananas
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8.5” x 4.5” loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
Mash the Bananas: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the mashed bananas, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined.
Add Dry Ingredients: Add the baking soda, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well.
Fold in Flour: Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Ovens vary, so start checking for doneness around 40 minutes.
Cool: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
