Reese’s Peanut Butter Banana Bread
This Reese’s Peanut Butter Banana Bread is a delightful twist on the classic banana bread, combining the rich flavors of peanut butter, ripe bananas, and chunks of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The result is a moist, flavorful loaf that’s perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack. The combination of creamy peanut butter and chocolatey Reese’s adds a decadent touch to the traditional banana bread, making it a favorite among peanut butter and chocolate lovers.
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup creamy peanut butter
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (about 22 mini cups)
Optional: extra Reese’s pieces or mini chocolate chips for topping
Directions:
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan to prevent sticking.
Mash the Bananas: In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. A few small lumps are okay.
Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the peanut butter, melted butter, eggs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. This ensures even distribution of the leavening agent.
Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Add the Reese’s: Fold in the chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Be gentle to avoid crushing them too much.
Pour and Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. If desired, sprinkle the extra Reese’s pieces or chocolate chips on top.
Bake: Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Enjoy: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. This prevents the bread from becoming soggy. Once cooled, slice and enjoy!
