1 cup pepperoni slices
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
1½ cups pizza sauce or marinara
1 tsp Italian seasoning, ½ tsp garlic powder, optional red pepper flakes to taste
3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing on top crust)
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C) Grease a deep-dish pie pan or skillet.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and Italian sausage until browned; drain excess fat. Add pepperoni, then stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes if using.
Press one of the pie crusts into the bottom and up the sides of your pan. Layer half the mozzarella cheese, the meat mixture, remaining cheese, and an extra layer of pepperoni or sauce as desired.
Place second crust over the top, sealing the edges. Brush with melted butter.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheeses are bubbly. Let rest briefly before slicing and serving.
