These Pizza Pockets are a quick and fun twist on classic handheld comfort food—think of them as homemade Hot Pockets made easier. Crafted from just four basic ingredients—crescent roll dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni—they bake in about 13–15 minutes for a buttery, flaky crust with cheesy, saucy goodness inside. Equipped with built-in dipping sauce and ideal for a solo snack or sharing, they’re perfect when you crave pizza without the fuss of making dough from scratch. Kid-friendly, customizable, and downright delicious.
Ingredients
1 (8-ounce) tube refrigerated crescent rolls (e.g., Pillsbury)
¼ cup pizza sauce, plus extra for serving, if desired
1 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz)
8 pepperoni slices (about ½ oz), optional
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 °F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into four rectangles (two triangles each). Use your fingers to press along the seams to seal. Transfer rectangles to the prepared baking sheet.
Spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce on half of each rectangle, leaving a ½-inch border. Top with 2 tablespoons mozzarella, 2 slices pepperoni (if using), then another 2 tablespoons mozzarella.
Brush a thin layer of water around the edges of each rectangle, fold over to enclose the filling, and press sealed edges with a fork. Pierce the top with a fork several times to vent.
Bake 13–15 minutes, until the tops are lightly browned and edges are crisp. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
