Korean Ground Beef Bowl is a quick, flavorful, and satisfying meal inspired by traditional Korean flavors. Ground beef is cooked with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and a touch of sweetness, creating a savory and slightly spicy dish. Served over steamed rice and topped with fresh vegetables or a fried egg, this bowl is perfect for a fast weeknight dinner that doesn’t compromise on taste.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 green onions, sliced
4 cups cooked white or brown rice
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Optional toppings: shredded carrots, cucumber slices, kimchi, fried egg
Directions:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
Add garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef.
Remove from heat and stir in sliced green onions.
Serve the seasoned beef over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds. Add optional toppings as desired.
