One-Pan Balsamic Chicken
One-Pan Balsamic Chicken
One-Pan Balsamic Chicken is a simple yet flavorful dish that combines juicy chicken thighs with a tangy and slightly sweet balsamic glaze. This recipe is perfect for busy weeknights because it requires minimal prep and cleanup, all cooked together in a single pan. The balsamic vinegar reduces to a rich sauce that coats the tender chicken, creating a delicious balance of savory and sweet. Serve this with your favorite sides for an easy and impressive meal.
Ingredients:
6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken, skin-side down, and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in balsamic vinegar, honey, dried thyme, and red pepper flakes if using. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning some sauce over each piece.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C).
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
