Ingredients:
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 slices bacon, cut in half
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Toothpicks, for securing
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Wrap each chicken piece with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and soy sauce.
Place the bacon-wrapped chicken bites on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with half of the maple glaze.
Bake for 15 minutes, then brush with the remaining glaze and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C).
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
