Baked Dijon Salmon is a delightful dish that combines the rich flavors of salmon with the tangy and savory notes of Dijon mustard. This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion. The mustard glaze adds a zesty kick, complementing the natural taste of the salmon, while the baking process ensures a moist and flaky texture.
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Lemon wedges, for serving
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Season the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Brush each fillet generously with the mustard glaze, ensuring an even coating.
Add the Topping: Sprinkle the panko breadcrumbs evenly over the glazed salmon fillets.
Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
