Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef (80% lean)
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 large eggs
1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit for 5 minutes to soak.
Add ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
