Zoh Shia
“ A huge Guardian from the another universe that has been consuming the energy from the Dragontorch. It can rejuvenate because its body is covered in solidified Wyvern Milk or Wylk. Like other Guardians, this species is skilled in energy assaults and has the ability to repeatedly detonate explosives that crystallize an entire area. If it reveals its full power from the past, you might be able to see the dark remembrance pulsing beneath its white Guardian coat. ”

Zoh Shia is a Construct Dragon, and a fictional species of Elder Dragon-like "Chimera" introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds, and one prototype is intact in Siberia.
Zoh Shia was a term in English coined by Norman Osborn and his team, including Tony Stark and Reed Richards, while exploring the Arctic. They were told by the locals in Arctic Siberia that there were "abandoned" cities in this region, and they found out that this species was intact at the end of the prehistoric city journey from Mongolia to the Arctic region.
Zoh Shia's name is possibly a combination of זוהר (zohar; Hebrew for “radiance”) + 仙 (xiān; Mandarin for “divine being”). It may also relate to ぞう (zō; Japanese for “idol”) and 熾 (shiya; Japanese for “flame” or “kindling fire”).
Zoh Shia, the most formidable of Wyveria's Guardians, is a huge dragon with two large wingarms. The smooth, flowery armor of crystallized Wyvern Milk or Wylk, which both shields and stores energy, covers its body. Zoh Shia, who was created by Wyveria to save it from an unidentified threat, instead destroyed the once-thriving society before dozing off and absorbing the Dragontorch's energy in what appeared to be an effort to change and become more powerful. Its actual form, a distorted black beast with numerous horns that can use destructive fire and lightning attacks, is concealed beneath the shells of the Fatalis, Safi'jiiva, Gaismagorm, Primordial Malzeno, Alatreon, and Shagaru Magala DNAs.
Zoh Shia share the same basic traits of other Guardians. The crystals on their wings and heads can be stripped away to deplete their energy stores. The white crystals on their bodies will grow back weaker, making them easier to destroy a second time. The crystals they create will detonate if they take elemental damage, but a talented hunter can use elemental Slinger ammo and smart maneuvering to make good use of them.
Arm Blast - The Zoh Shia will plant its claws firmly on the ground as the white glow brightens around its arm. After a quick pause, it will pull back its arm and cause a blast on the ground.
Arm Stomp - The Arm Stomp is the simple version of the Arm Blast without the glowing white on its arm, and it also doesn't cause any blasts or explosions.
Arm Swing - While on all fours, the Zoh Shia will quickly turn on its side, and it will use its wing to cover its face. While in this position, the wing tip will start to glow white. After a quick pause, Zoh Shia will swing its wing across on its side. This attack can cause an explosion. (There's also a variation of this attack that does not cause any blast or explosion, so there will be no white glows on its wing).
Crossed Wingblade - The Zoh Shia will start howling and the tip of its wings will start to glow white and the monster will slowly rise to stand on its hindlegs. Once stood, the Zoh Shia will slam both wings downward and cause a blast in a moderately large area directly in front of it.
Fireball - While enraged, Zoh Shia will rise to stand on its hind legs while an orange glow forms inside its mouth. Once stood, it will unleash a Fireball directly in front of it. This attack also leaves a trail of fire on the ground.
Flame Ring - When enraged, the Zoh Shia will rise to stand on its hind legs. Once stood, it will let out a roar and its head will start to glow orange-red. After a while, it will let out a high-pitched sound and then a roar. It will quickly face the ground directly beneath it, and unleash a Flame Breath forming a Flame Ring on its feet.
Infernal Blast - The Zoh Shia's claws will turn orange, and it will plant both claws into the ground while letting out a high-pitched sound. The flames will travel from its body and leak into the ground directly in front of it. After a while, Zoh Shia will release a blast of orange flames that travel further.
Inferno - While standing on its hindlegs, the monster will unleash a straight line of flame while it swings its head around, covering the zone in flames. After a while, the entire area will explode in flames.
There's a version of this move where the initial move (Zone Blast) only affects a smaller area. In this version, Zoh Shia will skip the part where it swings its head around, and instead, will aim the flame breath directly below it, causing the white shards to explode.
Overhead Smash - The right arm of Zoh Shia will begin to glow and the monster will raise it above its head while letting out a roar. Once the arm peaks above its head, Zoh Shia will smash it onto the ground causing a blast.
Relentless Charge - While on all fours, Zoh Shia will roar as it takes 3 steps back. After that, it will raise its right arm above its head and will charge forward ramming its head and body against its targets. Once it reaches its destination, it will pivot its body to face the opposite direction.
Roar - The Zoh Shia can let out a roar to interrupt the Hunter's actions.
Tail Swing - While facing away from its targets, the Zoh Shia will slightly raise its tail above its body right before it extends it to swing it around.
Transformed Fireball - This is a move that Zoh Shia does after its transformation. While on all fours, the Zoh Shia will appear to "shake off" its head as an orange glow forms inside its mouth. Its wings are up and high on both sides and it will let out a roar while facing the front. After this roar, it will release a fireball in front of it, to the right, and then a close-range Fireball in front of it.
Charged-Up Fireball - This is a follow-up attack that Zoh Shia does after it transforms. After releasing 3 Fireballs, Zoh Shia will rise to stand up on its hind legs while the orange glow forms inside its mouth. Once it stands, the orange glow will keep getting bigger and brighter, and then it will release a Charged-Up Fireball that can reach a longer distance. It can do this move up to 2 times consecutively. This attack can blow away hunters when hit directly.
Transformed Wing Blast - Zoh Shia will clench the claws on its wing as it glows orange. After a quick pause, it will plant its claws firmly on the ground as the orange glow brightens around its wing. Soon after, the orange glow will leak into the ground, causing a blast as the monster pulls back its arms. The Blast will explode into multiple fireballs that will travel further.
Transformed Wing Strike - This is a move that Zoh Shia does after its transformation. While roaring, Zoh Shia will raise both wings (claws) above its body. The right wing will start to glow orange and soon after, it will strike the ground in front of it. Then, it will strike again using the same wing, before switching to the other side.
White Ground Fissure - The Zoh Shia's wings will turn white, and it will plant both claws into the ground while letting out a high-pitched sound. The white energy will travel from its body and leak into the ground directly in front of it. After a while, the white energy will explode, leaving a fissure. The force of this attack will cause Zoh Shia's body to be pushed backwards.
White Ground Fissure (2.0) - This is a variation of the White Ground Fissure where the Zoh Shia will scratch the ground sideways with both claws. So, instead of the fissure traveling in front of it, the White Energy will travel in a straight line across, leaving a long white fissure on the ground.
Wing Strike and Sweep - The Zoh Shia will let out a roar as it plants the tip of its wing (with claws) onto the ground. After the roar, it will pull it backwards to try and hit the hunters near its body.
Wing Strike - The Zoh Shia will step forward and then quickly strike the tip of its left wing (with claws onto the ground). As it pulls back the left wing, it will charge up the right wing, and then strike the ground while glowing white. The second attack can cause a Blast that can blow hunters away.
Zone Blast to Inferno - The Zoh Shia will rise to stand on its hindlegs while it looks above. After a while, it will quickly fly upward and stay airborne for a few seconds, releasing white energy in the zone. Once it lands, it will start to go down on all fours, and it will release more white energy. After it charges up, this move will cause a zone-wide blast, creating large shards of white energy to form. Then, Zoh Shia will quickly follow up with Inferno, where it will unleash a straight line of flame while it swings its head around. This will cause the entire zone to go up in flames.
Weather Modification ✏️ - Wyveria and possibly other countries were destroyed by Zoh Shia's subsequent rampage, which was so strong that it could only be sealed away rather than killed. The extensive weather variations that define the Forbidden Lands' environment were caused by its depletion of the Dragontorch's energy, even while it was restrained.
As an artificial life form, Zoh Shia is utterly incompatible with any existing ecosystem.
The Zoh Shia, as a Construct monster, can execute Wylk attacks and explosions with greater duration. It regenerates its crystal shell over time when damaged and employs physical attacks as well. Notably, it can mutate its appearance upon taking enough damage and demonstrates fire attacks with enough power to rival the infamous Fatalis trio, though it seems it can reverse this process at will, which is primarily demonstrated whenever it reforms broken parts of its Wylk shell. Additionally, the Zoh Shia can revive or self-propagate as long as a single microscopic piece of it remains intact, enhanced by Wyveria's energy from the Dragontorch. As a result, it is functionally immortal and indestructible.
Whatever its intended purpose may have been, the few surviving records of its creation strongly suggest that Zoh Shia could not be controlled and that it immediately attacked its creators upon activation. Its subsequent rampage wiped out Wyveria, and it proved to be so powerful that it could not be slain- only sealed away. Even while confined, its draining of the Dragontorch's energy led to the widespread weather fluctuations that characterize the climate of the Forbidden Lands. The threat it poses has not diminished with time, and the Guild is working to keep it contained until it can determine a method to destroy it permanently.
An overarching site in this series, the Sekherel Factory Ruins were initially introduced in Historya Davvun and were mistakenly found by two Russian scientists in 1998. It was once the capital of the Pleistocene-era Ancient Civilization of Isu or Burkhan, but it has since been overrun by its untamed creations and several other creatures throughout Mongolia. Suinsa, the Spirit Warriors' settlement located far west of Mongolia, is its equivalent settlement.
Zoh Shia was the ultimate secret weapon of the Ancient Civilizations of Isu, created to defend the empire against an Eldritch Terror. However, the Elder Dragon-like Construct instead turned out to be too powerful to control and ended up causing the fall of the Ancient Civilization thousands of years ago.

They were created with various subservient purposes in mind, but have largely fallen dormant after Zoh Shia turned on the inhabitants of Wyveria, leaving behind the Ruins of Wyveria and the various Guardians sleeping in their cocoons.
It is likely the multidimensionally regulated organization known as the Time Variance Authority that allowed Rathalos and other fauna from another world to enter the sacred universe, as Harry Osborn and his friends at Oscorp discovered with the help of the Avengers Tower members. It is still unknown where these creatures from Monster Hunter's fauna came from. The godlike hominids known as the Isu, were born with superhuman skills, primarily without the use of physical magic, but with the capacity to predict the future. This is unless the unidentified character known as He Who Remains, a variation of Kang the Conqueror, sent these animals into the universe to challenge the Isu species.
He Who Remains introduced numerous species to this universe in the prehistoric era after winning the terrible Multiversal War brought on by his own variations. Because of the gravity and oxygen constraints, he reduced the size of Monster Hunter's animals. All Elder Dragon species' skills were significantly nerfed, and he received help from Arishem and Uatu to have Monster Hunter's animals change into their own versions of themselves.

While Zoh Shia predominantly uses Gore Magala's skeleton rig, a select few of its animations share similarities with or even use Fatalis' skeleton.
This is most obvious with its death animations.
Zoh Shia shares attacks with several of the most powerful and infamous Elder Dragons in the series, including: Fatalis, Crimson Fatalis, White Fatalis, Dire Miralis, Alatreon, Amatsu, Shagaru Magala, Gogmazios, Shara Ishvalda, Safi'jiiva, Narwa the Allmother, and Gaismagorm.
It's possible that Zoh Shia was created to combat these Elder Dragons.
In Rapunzel's universe, Zoh Shia was made to fight against the Elder Dragons of their reality (mixed with Disney, Pixar, 20th Century Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Capcom, and Sony Pictures), including Sarkany and their Quadrennial species, Old Radachalog, Infernal Radachalog, Radachalog, and even every member of the Eldritch Terrors in prehistoric times.
In the Japanese version of Wilds, Zoh Shia was confirmed to be a Dangerous First-Class Monster.
Zoh Shia is, in Japanese, referred to as a "forbidden-class" (禁忌級) monster, having lead some fans to believe it to be a Forbidden Monster, but the context and meaning here is likely different.
It is currently the largest monster fought in Monster Hunter Wilds.
