The Dark Skeljaskrimsli (Crustocanis islandica) is the variant of Skeljaskrímsli introduced in Weather Dragons. Both normal and dark individuals are descendants of pantodont, a Paleocene mammal.
Skeljaskrímsli is the compound word from Icelandic means "shelled monster".
The Dark Skeljaskrimsli is not a subspecies or rare species, but an evil counterpart of Skeljaskrímsli, with more exceptions. Their fur and scales are reddish and darker. With blackish gray claws, red whiskers, and red eyes.
The Dark Skeljaskrimsli had a ponderous, lethargic gait. The Skeljaskrimsli is a high-browsing, opportunistic omnivore that can jump into polar bears or whales or rear up on its hind legs and tail (a tripod stance) to reach plants. Certain pantodonts, such as Coryphodon, are known to have been semi-aquatic; isotope evidence and limb architecture suggest that they regularly swam. Despite being as aquatic as Coryphodon, the Dark Skeljaskrimsli was probably able to swim due to its comparable morphology. It might have been able to avoid predators or cross rivers or oceans by swimming.
The Dark Skeljaskrimsli was more enhanced by pure evil; the more advanced result of stronger versions of both explosion churn powder and mazuku became stronger than disadvantages. While in enraged mode, the Dark Skeljaskrimsli manipulates both darkness and fire altogether into a deadly combination caused by darkness, burning, and polluting.
To harm a Dark Skeljaskrimsli, one must resort to alternative ammunition. Shooting silvers, gold, electricity, fulgurites, grey willow catkins, or lamb droppings from the bullets from a gun are the only ways to injure and kill this beast.
Volcanic Eruption 🌋 - The Dark Skeljaskrimsli breathes the volcanic gas from its mouth to spark their flint-like teeth and make small- to medium-scale eruptions.
Though they have been seen to exhibit omnivore behavior. In addition to hunting foxes, rodents, cattle, and seabirds, the Dark Skeljaskrimsli consumes leaves, soft vegetation, fruits, roots, and even grasses. According to numerous biologists, the Dark Skeljaskrimsli were among the first huge animals to alter their surroundings through browsing and trampling, much like rhinos and tapirs do today. Despite not being herbivorous, this pantodont is special in that it will fight anyone who encroaches on its territory. The Skeljaskrimsli are not territorial on land, but they are in volcanoes.
As a placental mammal, it will:
Gave live birth to fairly well-developed young.
Had small litters (probably 1 or 4 calf at a time).
Exhibited long parental care due to slow growth.
The Dark Skeljaskrimsli, unlike regular Skeljaskrimsli, was very aggressive towards everything.
The Dark Skeljaskrimsli were a very rare species classified as endangered species in their population, found in Iceland and other realms.

To recover Stamina, Skeljaskrimsli will prey on bugs, clams, mussels, oysters, puffins, or crabs; it uses its claw and tongue to pluck them from their nests.
Skeljaskrimsli also has a pin attack which it only uses when it is low on Stamina.
The tough shell on Skeljaskrimsli back can be broken.
Skeljaskrimsli's tail can be cut off, but only during a state of rage.
Skeljaskrimsli's claws and back can be broken and the tail can be severed and carved once. The headcrest can also be broken twice.
