Lunagaron

Much like Odogaron, Lunagaron's name is a combination for Luna (Latin and several languages for "moon") and Garon (French word garou for "wolf").

The Lunagaron has a smooth, nimble body covered in thick, sharp-edged blue scales that mimic crystalline armor, as seen in the primary visual recordings. Its small nose and sharp ears give it a distinctly wolf-like head that is ideal for tracking scents in blizzards or dense woodlands. When it rolls or spins, the serrated bluish white dermal ridges along its back and tail offer a "saw-blade" defense. The Lunagaron can move into a bipedal stance and use its enormous claws as its main weapon for slashing, in contrast to the strictly quadrupedal Zinogre or Tobo-Kadachi. The Lunagaron is taller than the African bush elephant, at 3.42 meters tall, 11.4 meters long, and weighing 1,910 kg.

Like other Fanged Wyverns, the Lunagaron can easily scale walls and leap off large boulders. It is agile enough to use its front legs for several strikes and acrobatic acrobatics. The Lunagaron has a "true form" in which it stands on two feet, despite being quadrupedal by nature. Lunagaron may also employ a unique organ to cool the air it breathes, which subsequently circulates throughout its body, as a particular form of thermoregulation. It can also use this ability to create ice armor on itself and breathe frost mist during battle. Because of this, the Lunagaron may live in non-cold climates.

The Lunagaron have different attacks depending on their stance. They also use ice attacks, so raising your ice resistance should give you an edge. Lunagaron are extremely agile when on all fours, so try not to lose track of them. When covered in ice, a continuous assault will not only result in shattering the covering but will also topple the beast. Mind your positioning when powerful attacks are incoming. When the Lunagaron is in the enraged phase, it howls to the moon and stands on its back legs, enlarging and sharpening its claws and spines with ice. It will shorten the interval between assaults and increase the range of some attacks. By striking the parts of the enraged Lunagaron's body that are covered in ice, you can end outraged mode.

The Bluecore, an organ that gives the Lunagaron its power and elemental affinity, is responsible for the light blue glow that appears in the spaces between the shelling on its underbelly. This is accomplished by the organ using a bodily fluid that serves as a natural refrigerant to cool the air it has inhaled. This allows the organ to thermoregulate its internal temperature independent of the majority of external variables.

This makes the Lunagaron extremely mobile and enables it to live in a wide range of conditions, even though it typically prefers frigid environments. Additionally, this organ enables the Lunagaron to release a freezing mist from its mouth and the spaces between its scales. This mist is used to directly harm adversaries and to protect its own body by covering its claws with ice, which increases their lethality and reach.

The Lunagaron is a tireless pursue predator, much like the tiger and gray wolf. It is a strict carnivore that can consume fish, birds, reptiles, and medium to big animals. It can outrun faster wyverns thanks to its high-speed agility. Rathian and Rathalos, Espinas, Zamtrios, Tigrex, Rajang, Deviljho, Brachydios, Basarios and Gravios, Nerscylla, Rakna-Kadaki, Aknosom, Kushala Daora, Teostra and Lunastra, Chameleos, Velkhana, Valstrax, Nergigante, and Malzeno defeated the Lunagaron.

Reproduction

Their life cycle mirrors the Arctic wolf and wall lizard. Pups are born in secluded, ice-lined dens where they are protected from larger predators like wyverns.

It often competes with other dangerous monsters like Zinogre, Garangolm and Malzeno/Primordial Malzeno, often in Turf Wars around various locales, such as the Citadel.

They are frequently hunted for their "Cryo-Sacs" and pristine blue pelts, which are used to manufacture thermal-regulating suits for Hidden Savior deep-space missions.

The Lunagaron is first encountered in the Shrine Ruins of Kamura; however, its main domain is the ice caverns of Elgado's Citadel. Due to its thermoregulation abilities and physicality allowing it to endure a wide variety of environments and temperatures, Lunagaron has been seen living in more temperate areas such as the Jungle.

The Lunagaron was discovered throughout the Northern Hemisphere, particularly in Eurasia and North America, according to Norman Osborn and his friends Tony Stark and Reed Richards. Its sophisticated thermoregulation enables it to live safely in swamps, mountains, and even the Atlas Mountains in Africa, even though it thrives in tundra, taiga, and polar climates.

• Lunagaron appears to be based on werewolves, and may as well Fenrir from Norse mythology, as many of its weapons feature a set of chains binding the weapons when sheathed that disappear when unsheathed. Perhaps the Beast of Gévaudan is another of Lunagaron's inspirations.

• The way it inhales cold air to create ice armor may have been also inspired by the Big Bad Wolf in the traditional fairy tale "Three Little Pigs", where he destroys the pigs' houses by blowing on them.
