Silverwind Nargacuga

Nigeronychteridus dolofonops

Silverwind Nargacuga

White streaks like polish on a blade. Flashes from a tail that cleave the earth, sunder rock, and split the sky. The "Silverwind" summons a gale that slices. The careless fool is unaware, until his head falls cleanly from his shoulders.

Silverwind Nargacuga (Nigeronychteridus dolofonops) is a kind of Deviants of Nargacuga introduced in Monster Hunter Generations.

Etymology

Coming soon

Physical Appearance

Silverwind Nargacuga appears similar to normal Nargacuga, however similarly to Lucent Nargacuga it has bits of white fur and scales on parts of its body, though in this case the fur is aligned in bright striped patterns. It also has more spikes on its tail which protrude at all times and Silverwind Nargacuga are often larger than normal ones.

Abilities

Overall, Silverwind Nargacuga are faster, stronger, and a little better at flinging their tail spines than regular Nargacuga. However, the most notable distinction that has given them the moniker of the Wind Cutting White Shadows is the potent shockwaves that their tail swings, which are especially strong and swift, produce. These shockwaves have the ability to cut straight through an opponent's defenses, leaving them bleeding from deep gashes. The tail slam of the Silverwind Nargacuga has the ability to cause bleeding. Wind projectiles from it can also cause bleeding, but only if they strike the hunter as they are being thrown backward.

Silverwind Nargacuga's tail spikes move in an arc and can really track the Hunter in the air before falling, in contrast to its normal counterpart. Its body becomes substantially brighter, its wings, ears, a portion of its tail, and the fur tuft on its back turn white, and its eyes leave light cyan trails, but with additional effects to improve its lethality. For instance, the damage and radius of the frequent Nargacuga teleportation strike are both boosted. Another maneuver that has been improved is the ability to fire out wind spikes that, shortly after being shot, will start to rain down from the sky.

The Silverwind Nargacuga does, however, get the attack from Monster Hunter Frontier in which it spins its tail in the air and a new ability to strike the tail with electricity and wind to produce blades of wind that will draw in hunters like a vacuum before tearing them to pieces. Silverwind's roar, like Tigrex's, can injure hunters if they approach too closely and result in bleeding.

Weather Phenomenon

Ecology

The Silverwind Nargacuga is a monstrously strong and well-adapted creature. Given its nighttime camouflage and exceptional speed, Nargacuga is without a doubt the top predator in its most renowned location, the Great Forest, as well as a formidable opponent in its other settings, such as swamps and jungles.

The only predators that the Silverwind Nargacuga would have to contend with are the Chameleos, which can be found in jungles, Kushala Daora, Espinas, Rathian, Rathalos, which may occasionally be found in swamps and the Great Forest, and to some extent, Yian Garuga, which can occasionally be found in both the Great Forest and the Jungle. With the exception of Zinogre and Mizutsune, Silverwind Nargacuga does not have many opponents in the Misty Peaks who could compete with it.

Although Silverwind Nargacuga and Nargacuga share similar adaptations, there are some distinctions between the two. Silverwind Nargacuga shares characteristics with Lucent Nargacuga in that it has white scales and hairs, but only on certain body parts. It can move more readily because of how light its white scales and hair are.

Both of these are present on its tail spikes, which have a distinctive quality that sets it apart from other people. By swinging its cutwings or slamming its tail, Silverwind Nargacuga may produce air blades to strike prey up close. Wind waves have enough force to sever prey, cause a creature to bleed, and weaken an adversary. With this newly discovered ability, Silverwind Nargacuga can murder individuals quickly. It can escape and jump far farther than a conventional Nargacuga because of the lesser weight of the hairs and scales.

Behavior

Compared to regular Nargacuga they prefer attacking from a distance, and overall more aggressive. Silverwind Nargacuga is extremely aggressive. It will fight with unrivaled, swift ferocity, barely giving hunters any time to catch their breath.

Distribution and Habitat

In the modern era, Nargacuga was found in Eurasia in tropical to temperate forests, from mainland to islands.

Tamed

Nargacuga can be a pet. The meat dropped by the survivor works when the monster has not noticed the survivor.
