The Snowy Griffin (Leoaquilus borealis) is the fictional type of griffin (a type of Feathered Dragons) introduced in Worldcraft: Trio Origins.
The derivation of this word remains uncertain. It could be related to the Greek word γρυπός (grypos), meaning 'curved', or 'hooked'. Greek γρύφ (gryph) from γρύφ 'hook-nosed' is suggested.
It could also have been an Anatolian loan word derived from a Semitic language; compare the Hebrew word for kherub/cherubim, כרוב kərúv.
The Snowy Griffin is a griffin with feather-like pycnofibres that are black-tipped white for males in the belly, arms, wings, and pinions, and females have less of the black-tipped pycnofibres. Their scaly hands and black skin, including their faces, allow them to take in more UV light and thus stay warm. To prevent deafness, their ears are entirely encased in fluffy inner ears. The Snowy Griffin has a yellow bill with black tips.

Because the griffins are aggressive and easily distracted, bringing multiple flyers would make it difficult to obtain one. All griffins have a devastating dive-bomb attack.
The Snowy Griffin lives in icy areas like snowy mountains, tundra, taiga, and polar regions, where it preys on large and plentiful roaming herbivores or fish.

You can tame this Griffin with a crossbow. Wait 5-7 seconds between shots and there is no way you will kill it. Torpor raises over time, arrows/darts are not instant. Griffin was tranquilized by bullets and made unconscious, fed it while unconscious and used narcotics to continuously overdose.
All griffins are immediately domesticated when they hatch from an egg because the survivor is always within 17 radii of the hatching egg. If the griffin isn't already trained, you can train it with a stick, meat, fish meat, or clams.
