Ecse-iwrma
β It is impossible to imagine this leech beneath the glaciers, immune to freezing, as a living descendant of Olgoi-khorkhoi of Earth. In this language, the term is translated as ice big worm. β

The Esce-iwrma (Geloterrahiruda cryophilos) is a fictional species of gigantic leech introduced in Weather Dragons: Warriors of New Magdalenia.
Esce-iwrma is Avalonian word for "ice-worm".
Ecse-iwrma is a fictional large leech beneath the permafrost or glaciers, their light blue to white colored fur-like thing protects them from freezing. Their platinum to pinkish body with elemental pits actually releases freezing gas similar to dry ice, their teeth-like objects used for grappling or hooking, their second head as used for vibrating. Ecse-iwrma is a poor eyesight when seven eyes are covered by skin, the same manner as caecilians.
Ecse-iwrma opens their pits releases white oxygen and hydrogen gas with ice deals frozen, this creature unharmed itself during the explosion and immune to ice elements. Ecse-iwrma can dig through rocks of all types; soil, snow; ice, permafrost, glaciers, and podzol by their teeth and strength. Phreatiwrma is a blind animal and can see through vibration in very low scale, but weakened by man-made objects like sonic weapons.
The worms have two distinct types of auditory sensory neurons that are intimately related to their skin. When sound waves hit the worms' skin, the fluid inside of them might vibrate similarly to a cochlea, causing the skin to vibrate. Ivan Mackerle constructed a motor-driven "thumper" and even tried to find it using minor explosions, alluding to the story in Frank Herbert's novel Dune about how rhythmic thumping might call gigantic imaginary sandworms to the surface.

Like Olgoi-khorkhoi and Phreatiwrma, this thing is a territorial species who dares to their own territory, small ones cannot be attacked and run away from larger ones.
Ecse-iwrma was located in the Nueva Jethro Mountains to northern portions worldwide in Sawintir due to mostly snow or glaciers. Ecse-iwrma are pagophilic animals and very good swimmers.
