Telhadrator

Stegosaurus stenops

Stegosaurus / Telhadrator

“ Do Stegosaurus along with other stegosaurs engage in internal disagreements? The size of spheres of influence is reducing. They are believed to not be actively involved in wildlife trafficking, that has contributed to their decrease. Some OGs are fewer involved in Holocene heroes in the Late Cretaceous. Stegosaurus was common only found on well drained dry soil. ”

Telhadrator (Stegosaurus stenops) is a species of herbivorous, four-legged, armored dinosaur from the Late Jurassic, characterized by the distinctive kite-shaped upright plates along their backs and spikes on their tails.

Etymology

Othniel Marsh initially believed the remains were from an aquatic turtle-like animal, and the basis for its scientific name from Ancient Greek: "στέγος σαῦρος" (stégos saûros), 'roof(ed) lizard' was due to his early belief that the plates lay flat over the animal's back, overlapping like the shingles (tiles) on a roof. This last binomial name stenops in Ancient Greek and Modern Greek: "στενός ὄψις" (stenós ópsis), which means "narrow face".

From the Portuguese words "Telhado trator", which means "roofed tractor".

Physical Appearance

Stegosaurus is often called the dumbest dinosaur because of its incredibly small brain. Stegosaurus appears as a large quadrupedal herbivore with distinctive seventeen roofed plates on its back, which are often vibrantly colored and four elephantine toes. Down the vertebrae of Stegosaurus were spinal plates (or osteoderms) which ran down its neck until near the end of its tail. Each plate had a root-like pattern. The dinosaur also possesses 2 pairs of spikes on the end of its long tail, and has a small head tipped with a beak as well as a few grinding teeth. The plates were up to 2-feet tall and 2-feet wide (0.6 meters).

Stegosaurus stenops was primarily green skin with green spots and yellowish belly, even blue throat with violet spots and yellow eye patches. The plates are opaque and sturdy, and the rim of the plates was brownish to orange with tan horizontal lines, and dark brown edges. The eye color was hazel, the spikes are yellowish gray and greyish brown toes.

Abilities

The spikes on Stegosaurus's tail would have made a powerful weapon against any hungry predators. These spikes stuck out horizontally to the ground, which would have been a potent defensive weapon when swung at enemies. The blood flushing into the plates would create vivid patterns and colors. This extraordinary display would used for display and intimidation.

Ecology

The most prevalent theory is that Stegosaurus were used for cooling or heating the animal from their temperature. A more recent theory, however, suggests that they could have been used as a display during courtship and that they may have been brightly colored. It is also possible that they could move up and down, perhaps to intimidate predators due to hazardous plates.

Behavior

While not aggressive by default, Stegosaurus will attack by swinging their spiked tails when provoked in solidarity or in herds. Stegosaurus would often mistake small creatures as a threat and those unfortunate animals would often be slaughtered.

Distribution and Habitat

Stegosaurus stenops and other two species were located ranged from North America to Western Europe as well in Jurassic period before the opening of Western Interior Seaway.  Fossils of this dinosaur have been found in the western United States to Portugal in Morrison formation and in Lourinha Formation where the dinosaur originate from.

Tamed

Telhadrator are slow but powerful, kite them from a considerable distance. A throwing weapon's limited range and low damage may be insufficient for low level others to succeed unless the beast is trapped by instantly blown up from heavy projectiles.
