Order of the Ancients

Throughout the ancient world, a covert religious organization known as the Order of the Ancients—or simply the Order of Ancients—operated. It was established in prehistoric times, around 69,000 BCE, by Adam and Eve, who not only held a strict supremacist view of the Ancient Ones but also a strict reverence for them. They also aimed to use the Pieces of Eden to try to kill or revive the Isu, the Fomorian, or the Saurfolk race, as well as to politically and religiously guide humanity into reestablishing Isu societies on Earth. Following King Alfred of Wessex's split and creation of their own organization employing the Curators or Archangels, this led to the creations of the Assassin Order, the Monster Hunter, and the Templar Knights.

Using the minds of their members, including military leaders, religious elders, scholars, nobles, ealdormen and philosophers, as well as criminal masterminds, Seth, the last son of Adam and Eve, divided into three groups: the faction of itself, the Hidden Ones, and the Hidden Saviors. As he improved the factions, he created problems and sparked a war between the three groups. Although the Order's control over humanity was essentially uncontested for the first several centuries of its existence, a number of people and organizations would eventually rebel against its oppression or two factions.
