Rainbow Fiervadagi (Iridophipteryx murius) is one of the fictional species of boid upcoming introduced in Bagani: Island Hopping.

Etymology

Fiervadagi is the portmanteau between from Northern Sami: fierrat means glide or slide and arvedávgi means rainbow; which means "rainbow glide", because of multicolored skin and their hood and their hind flippers.

Physical Appearance

Hence their Northern Sami words, Rainbow Fiervadagi is a gliding boid larger than their relatives, the sand boa to green anaconda. Rainbow Fiervadagi have multicolored scales in sea green, lavender, indigo, yellow, sky blue, brown, grayish blue, and lime. Rainbow Fiervadagi develops the hood with very sharp blade scales used for cutting through anything.

Like boas, Rainbow Fiervadagi's hind legs are now longer but used for gliding, walking, and even grappling in trees. Fiervadagi possess tail flukes like mosasaurs. Fiervadagi is considered larger than the green anaconda and dwarfs Titanoboa's size and weight.

Abilities

Rainbow Fiervadagi breathes glowing ice, causing freezing and blindness. Rainbow Fiervadagi is the only boid that can petrify any enemies with their fangs, which are actually not found in boids, to evolve into like a venomous snake to petrify into like a stone. Fiervadagi glides using their sharp blade hood through the wind from monsoon season or something as a glide-flight attack moves.

Ecology

Fiervadagis are flying out of the water thanks to their enormous, wing-like pectoral hood and streamlined, elongated shape, which enable them to gain enough underwater speed to breach the surface. They frequently stretch their neck muscles and ribs to form a hood for gliding. Similar to cobras, their neck skin, underlying musculature, and ribs actively expand laterally to form a protective hood.

Behavior

Rainbow Fiervadagi is generally passive towards everything, including humans, and never cares. However, if it provokes attacks, it will become aggressive and even protect their family.

Distribution and Habitat

Rainbow Fiervadagi was located on the Vanalopnia continent, a far northern continent in Sawintir. It has rarely migrated to all continents worldwide and is rarely found in Britain or the Galapagos Islands as a migratory species.
