The Black Cygnowyrm (Pseudocygnus coldiac) is one of the mythical creatures and guardians introduced in Worldcraft: Swan Princess's Story.
Cygnowyrm is the combination of words between cygnus, from Latin means swan and wyrm, is a kind of dragon without any limbs or legs despite their name. Their specific name coldiac, was the Latinized form of Kooldjak was from Ngoonar people in Australia, which means "swan".
The Black Cygnowyrm is a different species of Cygnowyrm that has the same coloration as Australian black swan, a species of swan found in Australia. All the feathers are almost black and their skin face was red, however the skin was pale pinkish. Their beak was greyish black, and their legs were dark grey.
Each Cygnowyrm species was redesigned to resemble a goose and a loon rather than a swan, and its wings resembled those of leaffingers from other wyverns such as Legiana and Malfestio from the Monster Hunter series. This species' beak was now as smooth as that of a goose or a swan, and they had bills laced with lamellae, thin, comb-like structures that resemble teeth, similar to the ducks.
The eye color was changed from blue to grayish blue. The legs are switched to black and the beak is extended less.
The ability, ecology, behavior, and habitat were unchanged.
Until Odette's rediscovery, the Cynowyrm's pinion can produce yellow scales that disoriented prey and put them in a confused state. It can produce an ultrasound beam that can easily put prey to sleep. The claws along its wings are usually hidden but are revealed once the bird becomes enraged. In rage mode it will begin to use these claws as weapons. In the near death, Cynowyrm can also direct these vibrations and enchanted songs altogether as direct attacks against hunters, combining their energy into powerful aimed rays.
The Cygnowyrms are known for their ability to grieve for a lost or dead mate or cygnet, the cygnowyrm uses the enchanted song to summon aid from various monsters, as well as healing them and boosting their abilities. Or to perform a unique enchanted "song" that gives the sleeping enemy a nightmare. This nightmare can actually knock out or even kill multiple enemies at once, but this nightmarish song can only be heard by sleeping hunters, which is caused by a lost or dead mate or cygnet as revenge.
Extraordinary Spin - Cygnowyrm turns around and lashes at nearby enemies.
Sight to Sight - Cynowyrm raises their wings to defend, gains Control Immunity and blocks damage from any source within 1.0 seconds. After defense, she stabs in a designated direction and Cygnowyrm fends off any Crowd Control effects, her subsequent stabs stuns the target for 1.5 seconds.
Swan Song - Cynowyrm chants a vibration and enchanted songs that summons an energy field that deals continuous damage, each time dealing slowness and muted in 3.5 seconds
Song of Enlightenment - Cygnowyrm shoots pinion projectile from a pinion and returns to him dealing with confusion after firing at enemies along its path.
Kulning
Like swans, the Cygnowyrms are usually strongly territorial with just a single pair on smaller lakes, though in a few locations where a large area of suitable feeding habitat is found they can be colonial. Unlike the swans as well, non-mated juveniles up to 3–4 years old commonly form larger flocks, which can total several hundred birds, often at regular traditional sites.
The Cygnowyrms have long sharp claws that are usually hidden while this creature isn't using them on its wings for offense. These claws allow it to fly better yet quieter and although it has been questioned whether this heavyweight could still take flight, like bustards. Cygnowyrm has hidden scales and feathers that gather sound and emit a strange echo pattern. Inside its feathers are strange grayish-gold scales that are released when it erects its feathers. These feathers put prey in a confused state once inhaled, making prey see images in places where they really aren't.
The Cygnowyrm has a powerful set of lungs which gives it the ability to produce extremely loud, concussive roars which can physically damage nearby objects and sings the enchanted voices, it uses its masterful vocal mimicry abilities to summon aid from various creatures.
The Cygnowyrms and swans can be very aggressive in defense of their nests and are highly protective of their mate and offspring. Most defensive acts from a cygnowyrms begin with a loud hiss and, if this is not sufficient to drive off the predator or intruder, are followed by a physical attack. This dinosaur attacks by striking at the threat with bony spurs in their wings, accompanied by biting with their large bill.
Black Cygnowyrm is endemic in Australia, the same habitat as black swans at extends across fresh, brackish and salt water lakes, swamps and rivers with underwater and emergent vegetation for food and nesting materials. It also favors permanent wetlands, including ornamental lakes, but can also be found in flooded pastures and tidal mudflats.

Black Cygnowyrm cannot be tamed, but the hatchling is fed by using fish. Black Cygnowyrms are immediately domesticated when they hatch from an egg because the survivor is always within 17 radii of the hatching egg. If the Black Cygnowyrm isn't already trained, you can train it with a whip, veggie leaves, meat, seaweed-wrapped meat, or fish meat.
The Cygnowyrm is one of the animals that was altered and used as a beast of burden by the First Civilization or the Isu in the Pleistocene, and it is evolved from the saurischians that some in cladistic into a wyvern. Despite being born naturally, the Isu have proclaimed all remaining purebred animal species to be genetically modified. Members of the Assassin Order, Templar Knights, and Monster Hunter members researched the origins of all animals and discovered that, because they are pure natural breeds, from animals and monsters are actually genetically engineered creatures.
Before his son was born with his Native American, a Cherokee wife, even though Reynold Muller was a European from Lithuania, he and his friends were on a hunt party in Sydney, Australia, to kill the wyvern that attacks both foreigners and indigenous people. This is how the Black Cygnowyrm was first introduced in Historya Davvun. Reynold makes his own military armor out of the Black Cygnowyrm he finds, making it resemble a black swan for his loved ones but a Batman in the Aztec Empire and in contemporary era.
Both Princess Odette and even her cousin, Clarabelle, are cursed into a bird called Cygnowyrm. Same of the curses into the birds from Archie, Isabella, Jorinda, and Varian into songbirds by Rothbart before Isabella and Archie arrive. Archie became an indigo bunting, Isabella became a yellow-fronted canary, and Derek became a chestnut munia under Rothbart only during the nighttime (6:00 PM to 4:00 AM) until he was feared and crushed by the cannon rat's rolling. Rothbart was tranquilized by Queen Arianna's pistol sword to prevent the plague in Hybornia.
