Fulgur Anjanath (Sternuignosaurus ordinarius) is the fictional species of theropod introduced in Monster Hunter World.
Physical Appearance
Anjanath resembles a Tyrannosaurus; it has black and gray fur on its back, which, when combined with its flesh-toned scales, gives it the appearance of a vulture. Its hide is mostly pink, with a dark pelt covering its back and ending in a ruff at the neck, leaving the head bald. The animal's lower jaw has large fangs that protrude, giving it the appearance of an underbite.
Anjanath's huge jaws are balanced by its hefty tail, the bottom of which is coated with quills. The monster's forearms are little in comparison to its formidable hind legs. A pair of dorsal sails are hidden behind the animal's coat and only flare out at certain times. Anjanath can also display a strong nasal crest, which it uses to mark its territory with mucus, sniff out prey, or signify heightened aggression. Once fueled, the flame sac in Anjanath's throat will flash a flaming crimson.
Abilities
Anjanath has powerful jaws that allow it to lift up large creatures, throw them around, and even rip apart foes, along with a powerful nose used for smelling out prey. It also has the ability to breathe fire from its mouth, utilizing an organ in its throat. Anjanath are relentless predators that will chase down anything that dares attack them.
Once they've been provoked, Anjanath won't let an enemy get away easily. When enraged, Anjanath will breathe heavily and reveal his nostrils. It will also occasionally flash small fins from its back in an effort to threaten their target, making them seem larger in appearance. Anjanath's head and legs can be wounded, with the legs becoming more susceptible to damage when broken. Its tail can also be severed.
Weaknesses
To get rid of Fulgur Anjanath's electrical charge, hunters must attack its face. Like its cousin, Fulgur Anjanath will fall over and be open to attacks once it has lost its charge. If Fulgur Anjanath is not knocked out of its charged state after some time has passed, it will perform a powerful lunging attack that will release all of its charge at once.

Ecology
Fulgur Anjanath are carnivorous, feeding on animals like Popo and Aptonoth. It roams several locals in the New World, searching for prey and occasionally getting into turf wars with other Apex Monsters, such as Tigrex and Barioth.
Fulgur Anjanath is much stronger than its counterpart, being able to hold its own against apex predators. Unlike Anjanath, Fulgur Anjanath uses thunder element, slowly charging it up as the battle pursues. It generates this electricity with a special organ from within, utilizing it alongside its already impressive physical strength. When charged up, its mucus will become electrified, in which Fulgur Anjanath hurls it at its foes throughout the fight. It can also bite down and cause the ground to become electrified, creating a big explosion that will damage anything within it. When fully charged, Fulgur Anjanath will fold down its wings and launch itself at an opponent, causing a massive explosion of electricity.
Much like Anjanath, it possess two small wing-like sails on its back. These wings are hidden within the monster's fur when folded back. It is likely that the wings serve the same purpose as Anjanath's.
Behavior
In the Ancient Forest, Anjanath is in the middle of the food chain. Anjanath has Turf Wars with every monster that is found exclusively in the Ancient Forest, but it has none for any monster that is found in the Wildspire Waste.
Once enraged, Anjanath will chase down any foe in its way. It will even chase hunters into other areas, following them without a second thought until they become very well hidden or are killed. This is also true for most large monsters in the game.
Distribution and Habitat
Unlike its cousin, Fulgur Anjanath is nomadic, travelling to all known locations in the New World.

Lore
Past and Present Incidents - 70,000 BCE+
Fulgur Anjanath is described by Agents of Shield and Research of Invasive Characters Administration as the only theropod wyvern who possesses an electric element that was made by Raijin, a Japanese god of thunder. The Oni demon retreat, which is an animal, was very threatened by this dinosaur with electricity. During the Winter Wars, upon the event of Bagani, this animal threatened some of the towns made by the Ice Queen in the Avalon. Characters from past and present were showing up on who's best quarreling with menageries, arsenals, and friends under Sandro Bagras, a Filipino Mestizo from the Philippine-American War of German descent.
The Recollections of Queen Arianna - 2500 AD+
In the Worldcraft Series, Dr. Facilier mentioned that this species was one of two other species that wields electric and is found on the Amazonia and Jejirique continents on Reinachos.
