Green Plesioth
“ A jade-green-scaled Plesioth cousin, more powerful than their blue one. The creature's motions are equally skilled in and out of water, despite its primary aquatic habitat. It often comes to the surface to go on land, rampaging when angry. ”

Green Plesioth (Piscinovipera thalassodraco viridus) is the subspecies of Plesioth introduced in Monster Hunter G.
Etymology
Plesioth could be named after the Plesiosaurus, an extinct, aquatic, long necked marine reptile of the Mesozoic. From the Ancient Greek: πλησίος (plesios), which means "near", due to closely to fish in appearance.
Physical Appearance
A large aquatic Piscine Wyvern, it is the subspecies of Plesioth but is more distantly related to other Piscine Wyverm, including Cephadrome, Cephalos, Lavasioth, Beotodus, and Jyuratodus. The green plesioth is identical in body structure to the common species. It differs greatly in coloration, however, featuring deep green scales along with white and purple-striped spines and fins.
Abilities
When engaging in underwater warfare, Green Plesioth's exceptional swimming ability gives it a clear advantage against human hunters. Compared to the ordinary species, it possesses greater ability and precision while using its water sac, as well as a fin and fang sleepiness effect. The Green Plesioth has the ability to shoot a lengthy water beam that is longer than usual and can even extend its hips to bounce off. It is quite difficult to convey to scientists and the royal family that this is a hip check, a more potent offensive strike than what Nicki Minaj referred to as checking in ice hockey or basketball. In the NBA, PBA, or National Hockey League, it is regarded as an offense.
For its peculiar hitboxes and its hip check, Blue Plesioth is well-known. Even though these have been fixed in later appearances, jokes about them are still frequently made. Its actions are more passive and land-based; for example, it will use sweeping water beams, body slams, sleep-inducing liquid, fake sleep, and charges on foot, where it will attempt to run over hunters with its pointed spiked feet.
Green Plesioth's roar requires Earplugs passive skill to block.
Weaknesses
It can be fished out with a frog in certain areas. When fished out with one, the Plesioth will not enter rage mode and will move for a few seconds, giving hunters plenty of time to deal great damage. Supplies and upgrades for the ammunition can be obtained during the hunt, and in some parts of the map, it's possible to fix the boat thanks to Felynes. Using a Sonic Bomb is an easy alternative to fishing out a Plesioth. Just be cautious that it will enter rage mode upon recovering. They dislike loud noises very much and will flail when audibly provoked, as their hearing is extremely sensitive.
Plesioth is fought differently in the main series; this, of course, means no carving is possible in open areas like water areas. You control a Fighting Fishing Boat (Hawaiian: 船喧嘩漁獲 "Waapa lawaiʻa kaua"; Japanese: 戦闘漁船 "Sentō gyosen"; Ilocano: ᜋᜃᜒᜎᜊ᜔ᜎᜊᜈ᜔ ᜀ ᜉᜈᜄ᜔ᜃᜎᜉ᜔ ᜊᜅ᜔ᜃ "Makilablaban a panagkalap bangka"), is a naval watercraft that resembles a miniature warship and catamaran designed for the express purpose of carrying one or more guns to bombard coastal targets. As opposed to those military craft designed for naval warfare or for ferrying troops or supplies to fight Plesioth at Great Open Ocean, the boat is equipped with a cannon or gun and different kinds of ammunition to fight the creature.
When near death, Plesioth won't enter rage mode if affected by a Sonic Bomb's sound. The Plesioth can be hit with a fishing harpoon to make it drop a shiny When near death, Plesioth will put its dorsal fin down.
Ecology
While Green Plesioth and Plesioth share many adaptations, there are some distinctions as well. Their approaches to hunting are where the two diverge most. It's said that they hunt in rather different ways. Green Plesioth likes to hunt on land, whereas Plesioth likes to hunt in the water.
The Green Plesioth are excellent predators, particularly in the water, just like their relatives. They frequently capture and consume crocodiles, seabirds, frogs, sharqs, and aptonoths. These animals have to coexist in the New World with other big aquatic predators, the Leviathans of the Flooded Forest and the Deserted Island. Gobul and Lagiacrus pose serious risks to Green Plesioth.
Behavior
The Green Plesioth is a highly aggressive tetrapod, normally attacking enemies and hunters between land and water.
Distribution and Habitat
Plesioth are commonly found in large bodies of water in a wide variety of environments, such as the tropical rainforest and broadleaf, mangrove forest, bamboo forest, coral reefs, and the waters surrounding them all over the world.
The Green Plesioth has been seen in the Desert, Old Desert, Jungle, and Old Jungle of the Old World. In the New World, Green Plesioth are found in the Deserted Island and Flooded Forest.

Tamed
Bullets were used to tranquilize and render Plesioth unconscious. While they were unconscious, they were fed meat, and if they were close to death, they would repeatedly overdose on drugs. When plesioth hatch from a pregnancy, they are quickly domesticated because the survivor is always present in the partner. If Plesioth isn't already tamed, you can do so by giving it fish eggs, meat, or carcasses.
Lore
Both Plesioth and Green Plesioth are considered protector for the Atlantica Kingdom, which is birthplace of Princess Ariel. The piscine wyvern comes for hunting the any oceanic or freshwater life as ecological balance.

Trivia
If Plesioth is killed in water, it will sink and then come back up and float on the surface. This, of course, means no carves are possible. This is not an issue in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
Plesioth's design is based off of an unknown species of shark.
Plesioth is infamous for its odd hitboxes and its hip check. While these have been fixed in its later appearences, it is still usually joked on.
Plesioth can limp, but this is very rare.
Some of Plesioth's attack have a wider range than what is shown by the animation of the body.
Plesioth returns, where the hunter is able to fight it underwater as well as on land.
Plesioth will lower its back fin when hungry. After it regains stamina or becomes enraged, it will raise its back fin again. When close to death, it will actually limp instead of lowering its back fin.
Plesioth will sleep in area 11 of the Deserted Island in order to recover health, unlike Leviathans, which flee to area 12.
Interestingly enough, Plesioth is interested in land-based prey as well, as it is seen preying on an Aptonoth in the Plesioth Ecology cinematic.
The hitboxes on Plesioth's Hip Check are, for the most part, fixed, no longer striking behind it, and they no longer strike as wide an area as before. Its tail spin also has more realistic hitboxes, dropping lower to the ground as Plesioth bends its knees when spinning.
