Guardians
Guardians are a species of powerful Terran creatures, once purebred without Aurorium neurotransmitter, now genetically engineered by the Precursors, or gods, a sapient species from the Earth. Although the precursors were native to Earth and a product of thousands of years of evolution in their own right, from the Fomorians and Saurfolks to even human-like gods, their precise origins are unclear.
Origins
During the Triassic Period, the Fomorians successfully colonized Earth in small populations, until the environment proved to be uninhabitable for them during the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event and prevented them from surviving on the planet.
The Guardian Wars were the first battles between the Triumvirate of Earth (the Assassin Order, the Templar Knights, and the Conservationist Hunters) and the modified organisms of the Deity, which were variously the strongest beasts known as Guardians and Elder Dragons, and later independent Eldritch Terrors. The two groups frequently participated in, or even started, military conflicts and wildlife damage management between countries. To push their own objectives in their war against us, mostly behind the scenes of traditional politics and ecology, they are fighting not just for innocents but also for tragedies.
