The Cosmic-fry (Xenognathus exteriorespatium) is the fictional species of last living conodont in the world, introduced in Rewritten: Exodus.
This animal was introduced or mentioned in The Last Stormtroopers, Historya Davvun, Seven Code Talkers, No Way to Seaway, Weather Dragons, Project Daejeon, Two Lights, Worldcraft, Equation, and Rescris as part of Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, Monster Hunter series, and Assassin's Creed series sequels.

The Cosmic-fry is the jawless fish and the last remaining conodont, a group of jawless fish that are closely related to lampreys and hagfishes. There are purple to bluish colored skin, tiny holes for the clouds before they fly through the exosphere, two sets of helium bag organs into the stomach, and even eyes are now blind and compound eyes-like patterns unlike other vertebrates that didn't have their own eye textures.
The Cosmic-fry is very poorly understood, but able to sense touch via the cloud vapors to detect the paths despite being blind. When one Cosmic-fry is attacked, all other Cosmic-fry in the area teleport away as well. Using bursts of energy and helium from their helium sac bags, they become incredibly agile, giving the impression that they are teleporting. When helium is released into the atmosphere, it will rise until it escapes into an act of teleportation when it shrinks and then expands back to its original size in its sacs.
The epipelagic filter feeders Cosmic-fry and Mental-fry consume clouds and minerals while swimming with their mouths open or collecting things like precious metals or oxygen. They do this by using their gill rakers to separate the water from the vapor. As the land formation nature of any biome restricts their plankton and insect food to the surface, they floated on water and moved about the lake in large schools just below the surface.
The Cosmic-fry and Mental-fry favor larger prey like copepods, flies, spiders, and fleas with the addition of rotifers and water fleas. Their stomach contents mainly consisted of calanoid copepods, which are larger than the copepods blooming during this time, during the summer and winter months when the density of copepods was much higher. This suggests that the fish exercised some degree of partial control over the choice of prey, as opposed to merely filter-feeding. Since Cosmic-fry and Mental-fry haven't been observed interacting with other creatures, the Conservationist Guild has only made this assumption that they might also consume ore or gold particles from the exosphere or the sky.
Concerning their reproduction, little is known. It is well known that the population of the space and aerosphere spawns from July to January, when surface or space temperatures are at their highest.
Very passive and lived solo or in shoals but it can fly faster in space than a space rocket.
The only conodont and the true animal other than tardigrade, survived in outer space but was limited to living in the exosphere and living on Earth.
