Common Telfinas
“ The extremely deadly spinosaur, which was born recently, is mistaken for a dolphin or a wyvern, and it is a large predator from the coast. It transitions from the era of reptiles to the present day without having to reveal its hidden teeth to its adversaries. ”

The Common Telfinas or Telfinas (Delphinoguivernus thalassaltis) is a fictional species of flightless and aquatic saurischian wyverns introduced in the Worldcraft series.
The word Telfinas, is a corrupted word from Elvish: "dzelfín" means "porpoise", but "dalfiun" means "dolphin".
Singular: telfinas
Plural: telfinases
The Common Telfinas has a sleek, hydrodynamic body with significant aquatic characteristics. Their body shape was long, low, and streamlined, similar to a crocodile-dolphin hybrid; their coloration was deep navy-blue on the dorsal side with a lighter underbelly (countershading for ocean camouflage). The head was comparable to a spinosaurus, with an elongated snout loaded with sharp, conical teeth designed for grabbing slippery prey. The sail is a tall, fin-like sail along the back that is most likely utilized for display, thermoregulation, or water stabilization. Their limbs are very similar to those of their ancestors; their forelimbs are semi-webbed and operate as paddles, while their hindlimbs are robust enough for land locomotion but optimal for swimming. Its tail was flattened and fin-like at the end, and it served as its primary propulsion organ.
The Common Telfinas is an exceptional swimmer that can cover great distances in open waters, has a powerful bite force for capturing fish and large marine prey, and is highly agile in shallow water and on land. Because its upper teeth release a poison that induces slumber and immobilizes prey, the Common Telfinas had sedative teeth. Similar to the Irrawaddy dolphin, this spinosaurid can repel adversaries with a pressurized water jet that resembles a firehose. Because of its improved reflexes, which enable swift turns, leaps, and ambush attacks, this dinosaur possessed superhuman agility.
Because both Common and Spotted Telfinas have salt glands—organs in some animals that discharge excess salts to preserve internal balance—they were developed as semiaquatic wolf species that symbolize both freshwater and saltwater. To transfer salt from the blood into the gland, salt glands use active transport, which makes use of ion pumps like the sodium-potassium pump. Some birds use their noses to expel the salty solution.
In Afro-Eurasian and Everrealm's coastal settings, the Common Telfinas is an apex or near-apex predator that feeds on fish, marine reptiles, and shoreline mammals. Their role niche is comparable to a hybrid of a dolphin, heron, and crocodile. Orcas, sperm whales, saltwater and Nile crocodiles, bigger Wyverns, and dragons were likely their primary predators.
The Telfinas' reproductive cycle is similar to that of its spinosaur relatives; unlike ichthyosaurs and real dolphins, it is oviparous. To lay clutches of four to six eggs, they go back to remote, rocky beaches. These eggs are ferociously guarded by their parents, who paralyze terrestrial egg thieves with their anesthetic saliva.
Female lays eggs like other theropods
Nests near water (riverbanks, coasts)
Parents may guard nests, similar to crocodilians
Telfinases are categorized as "indiscriminate strikers"; they don't need a "reason" to strike in order to survive; instead, their innate instinct requires them to rid their territory of any unapproved natural and bio-signatured species. Common Telfinases were a highly intelligent species that could distinguish between adversaries and allies. It was also semi-social and could accept other members of its kind in environments with abundant resources. Tamed animals are devoted and protective, especially to bonded handlers, while wild animals are territorial but not mindlessly hostile toward people.

The Common Telfinas can be found in Afro-Eurasian tropical oceans, river deltas, and beaches. This species is exclusive to the Eastern Continent of Everrealm, which is probably a warmer, more biodiverse area. Coastal waters, estuaries, mangrove systems, and coral-like gorges are among the habitats that this spinosaurid prefers. When they coexist, Spotted Telfinas predominate in intricate coastal zones and Common Telfinas dominate open seas. Because of their appearance, skills, and behavior, they probably avoid one another or compete at territorial boundaries.

Then you climb up on the back of a spinosaurid once it has landed. If you give a fish or piece of flesh to a spinosaurid, it will take off, but don't worry, you won't fall. The third person is now in view. After the initial feeding, pause for a brief period before feeding it again.
Alternatively, to tame a spinosaurid, survivors must grab one of its eggs. The kids must be fed any kind of milk after hatching from these eggs, which can be obtained from a variety of sources. The fact that the survivor is always within 10 radii of the hatching egg causes all spinosaurids to become domesticated as soon as they emerge from an egg. The spinosaurid can be tamed using a whip, worms, animal flesh, fish wrapped in seaweed, or fish eggs if it hasn't already been.

Telfinas was based on from Plesioth and then cannot be approved of the Titan Dolphin (or irl Titan Flish) from The Future is Wild.
Its sail may glow faintly underwater due to Isu bio-energy.
The “water beam” is actually compressed liquid expelled through specialized glands.
Despite its size, it can perform sudden ambush leaps from water like modern crocodiles.
