Tunicates are small fish-like fouling marine invertebrate chordate animal, a member of the subphylum Tunicata.

In the larval stage, tunicates look like little eyeless tadpoles without gills. As tunicates mature, a sticky substance forms and they attach themselves to a rock or other fixed surface, it looks like sponges or corals.
