Glacial Surtsaydum or Polar Surtsaydum (Insulorattus glacias) is the one of the fictional species of large-sized semi-aquatic rodent introduced in Weather Dragons and Worldcraft. Surtsaydum is the largest fictional species of rodent this in the world, originate from Sawintir.

Etymology

Surtsaydum's name was English word of portmanteau between "Surtsey", "sad", "-odon", and "doom".

Physical Appearance

A plesiosaur rat with bluish gray skin and a grayish white underbelly bordered by vertical black stripes, Glacial Surtsaydum has a blue-tipped luminous tail. The phytoplankton-produced tail glow was bioluminescent.

Their hairs, like those of coastal or typical Surtsaydum, were still juvenile enough to get tangled up in the glaciers. Normal Surtsaydum is dwarfed and much smaller than glacial Surtsaydum.

Abilities

Ice was being used by Glacial Surtsaydum as both defense and offense. They had a tail that could withstand a storm surge.

Glacial Surtsaydum immediately inhales ice water at high pressure. At midnight, it uses its own tail as bait to draw both potential prey and adversaries.

Ecology

Like other guardians and Elder Dragons, this animal is extremely high in the food chain, its diet focuses on smaller and larger animals when in water or drowning. The massive and aggressive creatures like Gammoth, Ukanlos, and Valstrax can seriously injure, if not outright kill the rat if confronted.

Covering Glacial Surtsaydum's entire body is overlapping thick skin-like epidermis that one might immediately think is how Glacial Surtsaydum keeps itself warm in the cold environments it inhabits, but that isn't the case.

Due to this species' coloring, this skin hue provides countershading and confuses opponents above the view. For the majority of marine mammals, including whales and seals, blubber is crucial. Specialized fat in the plesiosaur-rat's thick layer acts as protection against the chilly water conditions. Glacial Surtsaydum's fabled icy powers are controlled by Glacial Surtsaydum, a very unique object. uses a specific organ located between the thyroid and the tube to regulate the supercooled water that is present inside of itself. It is also capable of exhaling the supercooled water out its mouth, which will quickly freeze any items or creatures that are caught in the blast.

Glacial Surtsaydum can now manufacture a form of "armor" in addition to breathing supercooled water out of its mouth and secreting it from the spaces between its skin with sweat glands. It can create this armor because of a peculiar fluid that it secretes from its skin, which eventually freezes around it to create the icy armor. This armor serves as a weapon as well as secondary protection against potential attacks. The Glacial Surtsaydum will congregate and mate throughout the mating season. After mating, female Glacial Surtsaydum will discharge one or two young into the ocean or onto gravel beaches.

Behavior

When left alone, Glacial Surtsaydum is quite quiet because they spend most of their time in the water or under the ice, continually scouting their habitat for prey.

Distribution and Habitat

Glacial Surtsaydum was located in northern portions worldwide in Sawintir, Earth, Reinachos, and Thatrollwa in the north pole and south pole.

Tamed

The passively domesticated animal that you must "feed" with a school of tiny carnivorous fish. (Usually present surrounding the plesiosaur-rat itself are tiny glowing schools of turquoise fish that resemble drones.)

You must first stroll into the school of fish to provoke it, triggering the pop-up message "You are being targeted by a School of Microbe." Then, slowly guide the school of fish to the turtle and swim beside it to trigger the taming progress, which begins at 0% and gradually increases to 100%. Any fish that spawn beside the plesiosaur-rat attempt to kill the school of fish to stop the taming process.

To knock anything out, strike it in the head or the belly with the club. The microbes fled from the psychotic and put any type of raw meat in inventory numbers 5–20. Have fun with your plesiosaur-rat.
