Wind Serpent Ibushi or simply Ibushi (Tatsodeophis kamurica; formerly as Deusinodraco kamurica), is an Elder Dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter Rise. The male counterpart of Thunder Serpent Narwa, he was associated with wind and storm causes of mating process to cause scandalous of all monsters rampaging to the Kamura village.

Etymology

From the Japanese word: 燻し (Ibushi) means "fumigation".

Physical Appearance

This species features a long tail, short, paddle-like hind legs, and a body that resembles a leviathan. Additionally, this species has two sets of jaws, with split jaws on the lower outer jaw and both inner jaws. The forelegs, back, chest, and tail tip of this species all have many sacs with various characteristics depending on the gender.

Ibushi, who are the species' males, have a number of characteristics that set them apart from Narwa. The sleek hide of Wind Serpent Ibushi is adorned by a strong, spiky, pale blue carapace. They have a number of little horns on their head, some of which are inclined forward and upward. They are said to employ these horns, coupled with the spines lining their back, to fend off rival aerial combatants. The wind sacs that Ibushi utilizes to float around are these dragons' most noticeable characteristic and what gives the males their name

The presence of shimmering tendrils on Ibushi's body, referred to as "gills," indicates the location of these wind sacs, which are found on the tips of the forelegs, back, chest, and tail. Ibushi can freely manage the particular gas that the wind sacs can make to some extent and manufacture, and it is then mostly employed for its own propulsion by ejecting such gas through the gills. Ibushi are smaller than their female counterpart and have blood red eyes that may be caused by the dragon energy that flows through them when they are enraged.

Abilities

Ibushi is rumored to display odd characteristics like floating upside down in the air. It has wind sacs on its arms and a tail that can shoot out orbs of wind laced with dragon element as well as cause air explosions. Ibushi can emit a Chaos element that can result in updrafts powerful enough to lift hunters into the air.

Ibushi can also exhale a beam of energy and generate strong tornadoes. It gains a brand-new attack that allows it to dig up a lot of rocks and cannonballs. When thrown with enough force, these cannonball-filled rocks will explode when they hit the ground. As a byproduct, this technique lifts neighboring ballistae out of the ground, which can be utilized to harm the cannonballs and severely wound Ibushi.

All Ibushi individuals either the blue color of a person or survivor are cursed which is uses an unknown method, presumably some kind of electromagnetic waves, to communicate and aid in finding each other, considered by Buddhist monks that said to have great connections with nature, are able to pick up this signal and speak it into an understandable language, referred to as a "Resonation", as shown by Cinderella when an Ibushi first appeared after a certain Ashtade Violentagh (Enchan for Rampage; Romanian: Ieşire violentă, English: Stampede or Rampage) was dealt with. However, it is unknown if the Dragon is aware of this. During the Resonation, the eyes of the survivor change to a bright blue color (in case of blue-eyed characters).

Yet there is no explanation for this behavior. Once this is finished, Ibushi permits Narwa to begin ingesting part of its lifeforce (Cinderella faints) in order to appear to fertilize the latter's eggs, a move that ultimately could result in Ibushi's demise. When the Narwa has consumed enough bioenergy, regardless of whether Ibushi was killed by it or not, the Narwa gains Ibushi's ability to manipulate the wind (which was passed down through Empress Elisabeth's bloodline).

Weather Phenomenon

Ecology

This phenomenon, however, has no explanation yet. After this is done, Ibushi allows Narwa to start consuming some of its lifeforce (or something that connects to Ibushi) to seemingly fertilize the latter's eggs, which in the end may kill Ibushi in the process. Once the Narwa consumes enough bioenergy (regardless if Ibushi was killed from it or not), the Narwa inherits Ibushi's control over wind (passed Mihai of Romania).

Wind Serpent Ibushi is one of the most usual Elder Dragons to ever be discovered. His whole body has a thick, highly elastic skin tough enough to repel blades while flexible like rubber. The skin along with several fourteen gills allow Ibushi to fly in the air. There are three gills on each forelimbs, two on the chest, three on the back, and three located on the tail.

The gills are called windsacs, which allows Ibushi to store and produce a special gas lighter than even air. By expelling the gas, he can create sparkling updrafts in order both float and fly in the sky. The windsacs inflate when filled with the special gas, but they can deflate when either expelling it or damaged. Ibushi is said to resemble a leviathan or some kind of god when swimming in the sky. While Ibushi can freely fly anywhere with windsacs when they're filled, he must be careful and ensure they are not damaged, or else he will fall and become vulnerable to attacks.

Ibushi uses the special attack as a move called Draconic Wind, which he fires either through the forelimbs, tail or mouth, the reason due to the gas violently circulating throughout his body. When the gas is compressed, Ibushi can fire a draconic wind beam .

The gales Ibushi unleashes are similar to hurricanes, powerful enough to rip up the land it travels through, hence its title: Breath of Ire. This storms plays a big role in the creation of the Apex Monsters (MHRise) who get caught in and survive these terrible storms. The gales are powerful enough to destroy the equipment at Red Stronghold in just one hit. The force is comparable to a cannon.

Once Ibushi is fully enraged, his eyes and wind sacs will glow red. When faced with a threat not easily destroyed, it will release the gas around itself to lift several boulders in the air before launching them at the target. Ibushi has a second pair of jaws it uses to possibly hold onto prey items. Countless rock-hard spikes found throughout Ibushi's body gives protection against threats in the air, while it's horns allow it to ram into airborne threats. Ibushi's sharp claws are powerful enough to disfigure the land with a gust-like blow.

This Elder Dragon has no natural enemies due to many monsters avoiding him at all costs, except for Gochdraig. Even the equally feared Furies flee from Ibushi whenever it appears. It is the main source of The Rampage, moreso than even Narwa herself. Whenever Ibushi appears, a mass migration of monsters will occur in order to avoid the Wind God Dragon.

Behavior

Ibushi is more aggressive while guarding the nest and can use wind to rip platforms from the ground, much like Narwa uses electricity to do so as well.

Distribution and Habitat

Ibushi can be found in the Coral Palace, which was built by recent humans and Wyverians in the New World's Coral Highland region to combat the animal. Nihon, or Japan's mountains, are home to the native species Ibushi and Narwa, but they also migrate to Bhutan and Nepal. Hinoa, the sister of Minoto, was cursed by this wind dragon. Native to Coral Palace in the unknown region of the Coral Highlands, he was killed by his mate, caused by sexual cannibalism, illegally against Elder Dragons, and Magnamalo assisted hunters against this Allmother Narwa.

Tamed

Ibushi doesn't tamed!

Known Individuals

In only individual is Llegba, from Tibetan: ལྷག་པ (lhag pa) means "wind". After Llegba and Liotap's death by the VOID and Eldritch Terrors, Llegba's soul reincarnates into another birthed Ibushi named Tshai, in Tibetan: ཆ (cha) means "pair" as a legacy.

Lore

Project Pashneia, a scientific project by the Terran branch of Deities to construct any animals, monsters, or humans in terms of their own, produced Ibushi and Narwa, the ultimate weapons. Ibushi and Narwa were mentioned a few times in the Historya Davvun, Thalath Lakoduna, No Way to Seaway, Two Lights, Worldcraft, and Equation. The vehicle sank into the Mithi River, with Monima and Jot still trapped inside. Jasdip came to their rescue but could only free Jot, leaving Monima to drown in the depths of the Bay of Mumbai. But the resonances in Mumbai sometimes alerted people across Mumbai.

This is one of the mythical creatures and invaders from the Monster Hunter series, along with Velkhana, Chameleos, Rathalos, Narwa, and Cephadrome, that are considered the guardians of Greco-Buddhism after Princess Anastasia's retirement and King Mihai I of Romania's main asset, considered by Hawaiians and Japanese people alias Fujin as the main deity, and he was connected with Princess Cinderella, who turns her eye color into blue eyes as the main connection associated with wind, air, and storms under the Greco-Buddhism.

He and Narwa are secondary and third antagonists who turn into antihero and protagonists for Joszef, Dorottya, Bartal, Daniel, Generosity, Almirola, Penta, Leonardo, Arleigh, Emmanuel, Francisca, Tzipporah, Jerry, and others; other historical characters like Empress Sisi, Napoleon Bonaparte, King Mihai I of Romania, Queen Anne of Romania, Lyudmila Pavlichenko, Simon Bolivar, Manuela Saenz, Ines Suarez, Pedro de Valdivia, Maria Goretti, Dominic Savio, Alexander the Great, Isabella of France, and others for Ostara and rest the world against the Horned King.

All Ibushi individuals either the blue color of a person or survivor are cursed which is uses an unknown method, presumably some kind of electromagnetic waves, to communicate and aid in finding each other, considered by Buddhist monks that said to have great connections with nature, are able to pick up this signal and speak it into an understandable language, referred to as a "Resonation'', as shown by Cinderella when an Ibushi first appeared after a certain Ashtadé Víolèntagh (Enchan for "rampage"; Romanian: Ieşire violentă, English: Stampede or Rampage) was dealt with. However, it is unknown if the Dragon is aware of this. During the Resonation, the eyes of the survivor change to a bright blue color (in the case of blue-eyed people like Archie, Aurora, Cinderella, Mihai, Alice, Joszef, Dorottya, Daniel, etc.).
