The Wiggler and Wiggler Queen (Counaophis caerulus) are the fictional species of snake wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter World. The "queen" herself was a rare variant of the wiggler.
The Wiggler is a snake wyvern that consists of between caecilian and snake, but with a pair of fin-like frills with five digits serving as courtship. Their skin color was pale yellowish white on the belly and blue green above, except for the female during mating season, who was called Wiggler Queen, and she had an orange neck and head. Wiggler was added, both fin tail and hind legs, because in 2023, prior to this, it lacked fin tail and hind legs because it looked like a real snake. merged into one from this variant, the Wiggler Queen.
If a huge organism got too close, the Wiggler would use its body to burrow in the dirt, gravel, or stone to hide. Wiggler Queen will not come back out of the ground if you startle it. This seems to imply that every time Wigglers come out of the ground, it's a new group that spawns in.
Wigglers are omnivores that feed on flying insects, young spiders, and pollens carried by air currents. They face the current with open lips. Wigglers establish enormous colonies of numerous individuals, sometimes hundreds, on sandy or gravely surfaces, and their burrowing aids in aeration and nutrient mixing. Wigglers have predators such as mammals, wyverns, dinosaurs, and giant salamanders, which can extract them from their tunnels.
Breeding season: Summer and wet
Mating behavior: During breeding, males and females move their burrows closer and reach across adjacent burrows to intertwine and spawn.
Fertilization: External — fertilized eggs hide to females.
Juveniles: After hatching, larvae drift from air or water, then settle and burrow to land surface when big enough.
Wigglers are shy and timid, flattening into tunnels when confronted. Wiggler males may compete over territory and mates. They are generally harmless to humans; they do not bite or constitute a threat.

Wigglers are found in the Elder Recess and Coral Highlands regions, especially in rocky or grave terrain.
Prehistorically, the Wiggler was invasive in Oceanian and Afro-Eurasian tropical, subtropical, Mediterranean, and temperate woods, as well as subalpine zones, rock crevices for protection, and nearby vegetation. Because the species and variants are spreading through Central Asia's Collider Gate, Norman Osborn classed them as invasive species in the Monster Hunter series.
