Ryomen Sukuna

Ryomen Sukuna

I'm the worst enemy renowned for seducing and treating Okinawans, Maoris, Ainus, and the Japanese royal family and these Japanese people unfairly because I lost my love for Izanami and Whiro. I say to you, I know what love is like. Love is nothing at all. No one has ever been necessary to fulfill me. I kill everybody who is in my way, play with things that make me laugh, and eat when I want to. To be true to my essence, I live. They have an issue if nobody can understand that. ”

「Ko ahau te hoa riri kino e mohiotia ana mo te whakapohehe me te mahi i nga Okinawana, Maori, Ainu, me te Whanau Kingi o Iamato me enei iwi Hapani i te hee na te mea kua ngaro taku aroha ki a Izanami raua ko Whiro. Ko taku kupu ki a koe, e mohio ana ahau ki te ahua o te aroha. Ko te aroha he kore noa iho. Kaore he tangata i hiahiatia hei whakatutuki i ahau. Ka patua e ahau nga tangata katoa e raru ana, ka takaro ki nga mea e kata ai ahau, ka kai ina hiahia ahau. Kia pono ki taku tino, ka ora ahau. He take ta ratou mena karekau he tangata e mohio ki tena. 」

Ryomen Sukuna (Japanese: 両面宿儺; Maori: 両面・宿儺 "Riomēne-hukuna") is a fictional character of the same name and one of the central antagonists of the series Two Lights, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure's sequel.

Etymology

The mononym is comprised of the Go-on readings for "lodging, inn" (宿, suku) and "exorcism" (儺, na). The title "Ryomen" means "two faces".

Physical Appearance

The malformed human known as Ryomen-sukuna had two faces on either side of its skull, resembling the Roman god Janus, and two sets of arms and legs, each on the front and rear of the body. According to accounts, the height ranges from 3.03 to 54.54 meters, although even at that time, it was significantly taller than the typical Japanese person. Its hands held a sword, an arrow, and a bow. It was incredibly strong and quick-witted.

Personality

Sukuna is incredibly cruel, cold-hearted, self-centered, and unethical. He made a comment immediately after Chiara Wilson, a Cornish-Asian woman, was reborn, alluding to the murder of Maori, Japanese, Malaysian, Okinawan, Ainu, Hawaiian, Ilocano, Javanese, Welsh, and British women and children and comparing them to crawling parasites. He rarely gives a damn about the repercussions of his deeds because of his great power, even if they have an impact on his host, Chiara Wilson, an Antony Starr descendent. As a matter of fact, he often makes fun of Chiara and calls her a brat. On several occasions, he even seems to be relishing her dejection. In addition to hunting moa birds (Japanese: モア・クラ), Sukuna was terrified of the New Zealand grass flower known as koromiko (Japanese: コロミコ). William Colenso advises Sukuna to stay away from any koromiko fragrance.

The Sundrop Flower and Moonstone Opal were most effective against Sukuna, due to these elements being aether and chaos.

Background

Before taking on the title of King of Curses, Sukuna was a malformed, rogue human sorcerer who was inherited by the gods and was feared greatly by Yokai and other creatures due to his untamed talents. He was vanquished and killed more than 750 years ago by other jujutsu sorcerers as well as an unidentified member of the Hidden Savior. He was transported to a distant nation, New Zealand, where he was captured and drowned by a container made of dragon scales.

When Japan joined the Commonwealth of Nations, the embassy, the British government, and subsequently the Japanese government were all targets of the origins of Ryomen Sukuna, which was highly forbidden.

The majority of the documentation possessed by Native Hawaiians, Ilocanos, and Hawaiian Japanese was concealed, including the Chronicles of Japan, also known as the Nihonshoki, which is believed to be the earliest official Japanese history book and the second-oldest book on Japanese classical history. The composition was completed in the year 720, during the Nara period. In order to prevent the Ryomen Sukuna controversies from spreading throughout the British Pacific Islands—which the British Empire claimed, ranging from Nihon to Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Taiwan, North Korea, and South Korea—it includes both records and folklore.

English became prominent in the 25th century, and the Japanese language swiftly became extinct as a result of Japan's prohibition on all languages. Most Japanese people refused to acknowledge their native language since the British government substituted the dialect of English in Japan with primarily Kanji, Katakana, and Hiragana, in the same form as Hawaiian, Maori, Tahitian, Gilbertese, Fijian, and other Polynesian languages.

Ryomen Sukuna was born in Kyoto in the year 800 AD during the Heian period, and his parents abandoned him to die because he was evil. Sukuna resided in the womb of his starving mother alongside his twin, Sukuna not wanting to starve himself consumed his twin, who would later reincarnate centuries down the line.

As a human sorcerer, Sukuna had killed many of the sorcerers from the golden age of jujutsu. Around this time Sukuna met Uraume and accepted them as his subordinate due to their exceptional cooking. During the Heian period, Sukuna annihilated the Northern Fujiwara Clan's Five Empty Generals and Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad, as well as the Desshi Pacification Squad and the Sugawara Clan's remnants using Hiten and Kamutoke. Sukuna was then invited to the Harvest Festival in the capital and worshipped as an idol. During the festival, Yorozu embraced him thinking he was lonely, only to be driven away by Uraume. Yorozu then expressed her wish to alleviate his loneliness, only to be slashed by him in disgust.

Ryomen was cursed by evil Izanami, one of the demons of the Isu tribe, that he possessed black magic and was way back in the Golden Age of Jujutsu, the Heian Era. He was feared and regarded by all those in his time as the most powerful sorcerer of the time, defeating and killing thousands of jujutsu sorcerers even as they sharpened their skills against him.

One of his feats included single-handedly slaughtering both the Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad and the Five Empty Generals, the most elite of the Fujiwara Clan's forces, leaving the authorities of Japan so utterly terrified that they were willing to hold festivities in his honor. The impact Sukuna left on history until he died earned him the title of "Strongest Sorcerer in History" as well as the "King of Curses.". Sukuna also attacked the Japanese royal family and all ethnic groups in Japan. As a result, Yorozu embraced him, thinking he was lonely, only to be driven away by Uraume. Yorozu then expressed her wish to alleviate his loneliness, only to be slashed by him in disgust using a holy spear. She stored him in the mystical container, expelled Sukuna to his country, and never came back again.

It turned out that Sukuna had arrived in the North Island, a strange and foreign land. With the exception of his vajra, which he used to kill some Maoris and eat some of their flesh, Sukuna has lost all of his powers and is hated by many brown people, who are actually Maori people. Sukuna discovered a few dead Japanese sorcerers, along with the majority of the kidnapped and killed Maori warriors.

He concealed their bodies in his homemade clay demons, and now he controls their spirits. When he realized the mummified clay devils' intention to kill the Maoris, he joined them for Satan in the afterlife. Later, when one of the Maori gods, Tangaroa, expressed his desire to end his loneliness, he was cut by him while posing as a hermit and interred permanently on Chatham Island.

In The Recollections of Queen Arianna, Ryomen Sukuna is identified as a Pākehā, which refers to Europeans and Asians. Sukuna is also known as a Papa'a in Cook Island Maori.

Sukuna was viewed by the British government as of Japanese descent, but Maoris rejected the race definition of Sukuna's fingers and appearance to be Pakeha, like Asians and Europeans. Gaijin, the Japanese term for non-Japanese, was later used to refer to non-Japanese individuals such as Europeans and Asians, rather than the Japanese themselves.
