The Kavasobya (Plantofunganthros arosobia; Devanagari: कवसोब्या, Cyrillic: Кавасобя) is a small, passive or lightly defensive creature found in areas from Southern Russia, Central Asia, Balkans minus Albania and Greece, Afghanistan, Iran, Indian subcontinent, Andaman and Nicobar Islands (minus North Sentinel Island, locally extinct), Poland, Hungary, and Mainland Southeast Asia (minus Singapore, Malaysia, and Southern Thailand).
This animal was introduced or mentioned in The Last Stormtroopers, Historya Davvun, Seven Code Talkers, No Way to Seaway, Weather Dragons, Project Daejeon, Two Lights, Worldcraft, Equation, and Rescris series.
Their name was coined much later by Snegurochka, Queen Arianna's closest friend, during her travels through India. She combined Sanskrit कवक (kavaka), meaning fungus or mushroom, with the Slavic term особь (osob'), meaning an individual or living specimen. The resulting name, Kavasobya, became the modern scholarly designation for the species.
Common characteristics include mushroom-like crowns or caps with some leaves on top; soft, flexible ivory bodies; root-like structures around their lower limbs; small sensory filaments; bioluminescent markings in some populations; bark-like or moss-like patches in older individuals; belly markings from Proto-Sinaitic script; and naturally occurring patterns corresponding to their ancestral region. Their appearance can change slightly throughout their lifetime.
Young Kavasobyas tend to resemble small mushrooms with animal-like mobility, while mature individuals gradually develop more pronounced plant-like characteristics.
Kavasobyas purposefully steer clear of traditional civilization, in contrast to the majority of intelligent species in Earth Responsibly universe. They don't cook, build homes, create makeshift shelters, trade, make traditional tools, fight wars, or initiate assaults. Instead, memory, song, nature, friendship, and spiritual knowledge form the foundation of their society. In essence, their "homes" are natural settings—roots, hollow trees, moss beds, caverns, underground chambers, and other safe havens formed organically rather than artificially.
The Ohdzha, or Kavasobyan Shaman, would be the spiritual leader of the species. Their connection to nature allows them to communicate with:
🌳 Plants and trees
🍄 Fungi
🌿 Algae
🐺 Wild animals
🦄 Mythical creatures
Other benevolent nature-associated beings
Their greatest ability isn't physical strength but pacification and empathy. A hostile creature may calm down when exposed to the Kavasobya's presence or songs, particularly if the creature has become aggressive because of fear, confusion, or environmental disturbance. However, the Kavasobya isn't invincible. If an enemy force becomes overwhelming, its instinct is not to fight. It hides, burrows underground, and seeks a secure location.
Kavasobyas possess an unusual biological and spiritual life cycle: they spend their lives collecting memories, dreams, emotions, and environmental knowledge, and when their capacity is finally reached, they transform into trees. In this way, an individual Kavasobya does not truly "die." Instead, its accumulated experiences become part of a new living organism.

Gaea created the Kavasobyas from tree-and-mushroom hybrid seeds, combining characteristics of plants, fungi, and an Isu-designed living organism. This makes the Kavasobya neither a conventional animal nor an ordinary fungus. They are best described as mobile myco-botanical organisms.
The hybrid design gave them three fundamental biological systems:
Fungal memory tissue — responsible for absorbing and storing biological impressions.
Plant-like symbiotic tissue — allowing them to interact with vegetation, algae, and their surrounding ecosystem.
Isu neural mycelium — an extremely sophisticated sensory network capable of interpreting memories, dreams, emotions, sounds, and chemical signals.
The spiritual leaders of Kavasobyan society are called Ohdzha, traditionally translated as Shaman. The Ohdzha is not a king or military commander, their authority comes from accumulated wisdom. An Ohdzha is generally an exceptionally old Kavasobya whose memory network has become unusually extensive.
The Ohdzha's principal responsibilities are:
preserving ancestral memories;
interpreting dreams;
teaching young Kavasobyas;
mediating disputes;
communicating with plants and fungi;
guiding migrations;
protecting sacred natural locations;
calming frightened animals;
pacifying hostile creatures;
identifying ecological disturbances;
determining when a Kavasobya is ready for the Great Rooting.
An Ohdzha can also act as a bridge between Kavasobyas and other intelligent species. Several Ohdzha may gather in a Shamanic Circle (Kavasobyan: Plasan S'khata, lit. "shroom's gathering"). Instead of holding meetings through spoken debate, they exchange memories and melodies.
One Ohdzha may sing a memory.
Another responds with a second melody.
A third interprets the emotional component.
The final understanding is reached collectively.
To outsiders, the ceremony may appear to be nothing more than a group of small creatures singing around an ancient tree. To the Kavasobyas, it is effectively a historical archive being opened.

The Kavasobya is an obscure benevolent fungal species created during the ancient Isu Era by the Isu Greek Empress Gaea, the First Mother Nature. Unlike the warrior species and engineered guardians created by other Isu factions, Kavasobyas were designed as companions, ecological custodians, and living repositories of memory.
Snegurochka explained that in the deepest Precursor times—during the Late Pleistocene epoch prior to the First Catastrophe of 74,000 BCE—the first Mushroom Children were engineered by the Isu Greek Empress Gaea, the First Mother Nature. Forged from hybrid seed-matrices combining ancient arboreal and fungal DNA, Gaea created them to serve as gentle, empathetic companions to true humans, elves, fairies, goblins, and the other nascent races of Earth.
Snow covers the countryside of eastern France. Inside a vacant country house, Arianna de Solle and Anthony Fortiz-Pierre are staying with Rapunzel, the only daughter of King Frederic, and Anthony's twin siblings Josette and Julius. Suddenly—KNOCK. KNOCK.
Everyone becomes quiet, and Anthony opens the door. Standing outside is Snegurochka, she calmly enters, removes the snow from her clothing, and sits on the couch. Arianna notices that Snegurochka is carrying an unusual book filled with drawings of mushroom-like humanoids.
Arianna: “ You spoke in your letters of a hidden race, Snegurochka. The small ones of the forest floor. What have you found?”
Snegurochka opens the book, she say: “A people almost nobody remembers. In India, they called as Kavagnara, now in Bangladesh, they called them as Kavasobya. ”
She introduces their new name: Kavasobya
Snegurochka replies: "Indeed. During my travels through the Western Ghats and the Vedic sanctuaries of India in 1810, I formally synthesized their global name: Kavasobya. It draws from the Sanskrit *kavaka*—the shroom—and the Old Church Slavonic '*osob'*—the individual, the person. A soul born of the soil."
The name combines the Sanskrit kavaka, meaning mushroom, with osob', meaning a person or individual. Snegurochka explains that she encountered different names for the species during her travels.
Snegurochka is tracing the glowing runes on her scroll: "They are inherently benevolent beings. They do not hoard gold or forge weapons. They gather the joy, sorrow, and memories of the land. When a Kavasobya's heart is full, it lays down upon the moss and sprouts into a great oak, pine, or banyan tree, preserving those memories within its rings for ten thousand years."
Anthony Fortiz-Pierre replies: "And when they are threatened?"
Snegurochka answers: "The Death Cap, the Destroying Angel, and the False Morel are among their non-shamanic brethren who wear caps that resemble the deadliest fungi known to man. Their spores cause intense, disorienting visions if they If an enemy strikes them, their spores induce intense, disorienting visions. by an enemy. Additionally, if their protective layer is breached, they simply melt into the ground, whether it be frozen permafrost, solid rock, hard clay, or mud, completely hiding their thermal signatures from detection by scanners or magical tracking."
