Lavasioth
“ These fish, which resemble wyverns, use pouring lava as a weapon and molten lava as armor. They are very hostile and will not stop attacking until the threat has been eliminated by this fish. ”

The Lavasioth (Vulcanovivernus pyrophilus) is a fictional species of wyvern-like tetrapod and a Piscine Wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier Season 1.0 before debuting in the main series in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
The word itself was a neology in the 2010s, and it was mixed with lava, plesiosaur or Plesioth, and Behemoth, due to larger in size than some relatives of Camarasaurus.
The Lavasioth is a tetrapod that resembles a wyvern. Its structure is similar to that of a bipedal coelacanth that has been immersed in molten lava and covered in fireproof golden brown scales. With the exception of the thumb, their forelimbs resemble those of coelacanth and other lobe-finned fish. They have digitigrade hindlimbs with five digits, four spines on the ankle, and wet toes.
Because they are cold-blooded and extremely heat-resistant, their skin, fins, mouthpieces, digestive system, blood, brain, and hazel eyes, flammable, and fireproof.
Lavasioth is measuring about 500 kg, 8.9 to 9.3 meters long, and 4.35 meters tall.
These tetrapods, which resemble wyverns and are thermophilic, can move through lava pools like water. The material attaches itself to their typically golden scales by swimming through magma, covering themselves with a layer of molten rock. They absorb more magma while swimming, which they can then employ to launch lava and fire at attackers. They can also walk quicker than some amateur athletes and leap very high thanks to their strong legs.
The Lavasioth without magma armor can survive in hot spring lakes without being harmed, even if they live in flowing lava or lahar. They also prefer to swim or generally bath themselves to get rid of any semi-fireproof ticks and bacteria on their scales.

One of the apex predators in the volcano biome, the Lavasioth consumes anything from small to large that is largely undetectable from below due to its tactical ambush employing molten lava, burrowing, and surfaces and ceilings of the lava tubes. This species consumes fireproof plants including euphorbias, roses, moringa fruits and barks, lettuces, and berries even though it is a carnivore. In terms of territory, the larger ones—wyverns, theropods, mammals, and even Elder Dragons—competed with the Lavasioth.
Lavasioth are powerful swimmers in lava and their speed in swimming through the volcanic rock is matched only by the magma-dwelling leviathan wyvern known as Agnaktor. During the mating season, some female Lavasioth will cover themselves in rare volcanic ores in order to attract a mate, giving them a reddish-crimson color, as no documented to this female variant.
Lavasioth are fiercely protective of their territory and will fiercely assault any human or monster that enters, with the exception of members of their own kind. This species also uses strange strategies during the breeding season. For example, males may battle for the best nest or simply argue with females, or only females may display their most colorful armor.
The Lavasioth is found in the Old World Volcano, as well as the New World's Elder's Recess, both magma filled, volcanic areas.
Since discovering this fish in the 1980s, Norman Osborn and Tony Stark claim that this species has been found in active or dormant volcanoes throughout Afro-Eurasia and even the Hawaiian Islands to coexist with elusive volcanic inhabitants in the Earth Responsibly universe.
