"Listen. Can you hear it? The wind, cars, the ocean, the laughter and the screaming and the hum of everything. This city is a symphony. And I'm her speaker."

Sound (Tagalog: tunog; Maori: tangi; Japanese: 音 "oto"; Emoji:🎵) is an inorganic element that is commonly found in nature.
Audiokinesis is the superpower to create, manipulate, and control sound waves. It’s one of the most fascinating sensory-based abilities — blending physics, vibration, and energy into a potent mix of offense, defense, and perception.
Audiokinesis is from Latin/Greek:
“Audio” = sound
“Kinesis” = movement or control
Audiokinesis literally means “control of sound.” A person with this ability is called an Audiokinetic or Sound Manipulator.

In physics, sound is a vibration that propagates as an acoustic wave through a transmission medium such as a gas, liquid or solid. In human physiology and psychology, sound is the reception of such waves and their perception by the brain. Only acoustic waves that have frequencies lying between about 20 Hz and 20 kHz, the audio frequency range, elicit an auditory percept in humans. In air at atmospheric pressure, these represent sound waves with wavelengths of 17 meters (56 ft) to 1.7 centimeters (0.67 in). Sound waves above 20 kHz are known as ultrasound and are not audible to humans. Sound waves below 20 Hz are known as infrasound. Different animal species have varying hearing ranges, allowing some to even hear ultrasounds.
Sound is a mechanical wave caused by vibration of particles in a medium (air, water, etc.). Fictional audiokinetics can manipulate wave frequency, amplitude, and resonance, controlling how energy travels through matter. Real-world parallels include ultrasound, resonance frequency, and acoustic levitation.
A type of energy created by vibrations is sound. The vibration of an object causes the molecules of the air around it to move. These molecules collide with molecules nearby, causing those molecules to vibrate as well. The definition of sound is the capacity to perceive or experience a vibration of movement caused by a voice or instrument used by creatures to warn or groove.
A periodic disturbance of a medium (air, ground, water, etc.) that radiates outward linearly in the form of a pressure wave can be created, shaped, and manipulated by users. These waves have a sound-perceiving influence on the ear. Whether or whether they can be heard by the ear, vibrational motion waves are thought of as sound from a physics perspective.
With the ability to warp, strengthen, echo, speed up, slow down, imitate, intensify, quiet, and distort sound, users can use it as a strong physical force and swift movement. While sound at high frequencies cannot be heard by most people but can be utilized to produce sonar-like effects, sound at low frequencies can possibly be fatal to living things by causing internal damage.
Using physical barriers for protection is challenging since sound vibrations can pass through the air, ground, water, and any other media. At the molecular level, the vibrations can also have an impact. In essence, sound is both a useful tool and an imperceptible deadly weapon.
Animals or survivors are capable of producing and modifying music, a type of art that primarily uses sound and silence as its media. This is because the sound element rules. Among its common components are pitch, which governs melody and harmony, rhythm (and the related concepts of tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the acoustic qualities of timbre and texture.
Sound represents communication, emotion, and resonance.
Audiokinesis symbolizes:
🎶 Harmony — balance between chaos and order
🗣️ Expression — the power of the voice and emotion
🌊 Energy and movement — invisible yet unstoppable forces
🔇 Control of silence — peace, focus, and restraint
Audiokinetic characters are often sensitive, intuitive, and expressive, yet capable of great power when provoked — their strength mirrors the duality of music: soothing or devastating.
Weapons and armor can be imbued with the element of sound. Some species of creatures are imbued with it. Using large vocal chords or other naturally materials. When a sound weapon strikes, it releases a wave of sounds into the wound, which can be extremely effective against certain creatures.
Depending on skill level, an audiokinetic can:
Sound Wave Manipulation: Shape, amplify, or silence sound waves. They can increase volume, change pitch, or redirect vibrations like a sonic conductor.
Sonic Blasts / Screams: Release concentrated bursts of sound energy capable of stunning, shattering objects, or even knocking down enemies.
Vibration Control: Use sound frequencies to vibrate matter, allowing them to cause earthquakes, resonance explosions, or cut through solid materials.
Echo Location: Use sound reflection to detect objects or people in darkness or through walls — similar to bats or dolphins.
Silence Field: Nullify or absorb surrounding sounds to create a zone of total silence, useful for stealth or defense.
Voice Manipulation: Alter voice pitch and tone for mimicry, hypnosis, or communication at great distances.
Sonic Levitation (Advanced): Use vibrations to hover or propel objects, even fly through resonance control.

Depending on the user’s mastery and magnetic power, abilities include:
Metal Manipulation: Bend, reshape, or move metallic objects — from small nails to entire vehicles — with magnetic or mental force.
Metal Creation or Generation: Form metal constructs such as weapons, armor, or barriers by manipulating iron particles from the environment or their own body.
Electromagnetic Control: Control both electric and magnetic fields, allowing limited electrokinesis or technokinesis effects.
Magnetic Levitation: Fly or make objects float using magnetic repulsion or attraction.
Metal Detection / Sense: Feel magnetic fields or the presence of metal, similar to a living radar.
Magnetized Attacks: Launch metal projectiles, attract weapons, or deflect bullets.
Armor Enhancement: Create metal armor for protection or even fuse metal into the body (advanced users).
Air🌬️ - because the wind's effect is more about distortion of sound. As a sound wave propagates, or moves, through the air, some pieces are accelerated and others slowed down as it meets wind.
Electric⚡ - because must be translated from electric current to pressure waves.
Light🔆 - because it is not a vibration on a material.
Arcane✨ - because the mind is absorbed by the sound causing distraction.
Rock🪨 - because in the true nonfiction life, the rock can bounce causing echo which stratifies the atmospheric density and affects sound waves through that.
Ice❄️ - because the ice is sound-absorbing materials and masking.
Leaf🌿 - because the plants lacked emotions and sound making, it was making deflecting the sounds and masked.
Dark🌑 - because the sound travels further at night independent of temperature. Calm night, no wind at a temperature that any day may be.
Metal - because the metal is affected by the friction and soundwaves via bouncing.
Itself - because it produces the sound, which might cause remixes or increasing sound.
