“ Sea saurischians, also known as leviathan wyverns, are at the top of the aquatic food chain. Seafarers fear the "Lords of the Seas" because of the enormous amount of energy that their spinal organs can store to roil the seas. Sometimes they are even spotted napping on land. ”

The Lagiacrus (Thalassoophiosaurus rex) is the one of the fictional species of Leviathans introduced in Monster Hunter 3.
The term "Lagiacrus" is an Anglicization of the Japanese word "ラギアクルス" (Ragiakurusu). "Wandering Flames" is a compound word in various Japanese dialects and refers to the Qurio, a flying blind lamprey in Monster Hunter Rise. The Wyverian word for "shining whirlpool" is used later in Monster Hunter Wilds, where the leviathan can learn to perform the whirlpool with discharge electric on underwater. Alternative, the combination words for Lagiacrus were lag, regia, and cruise.
A completely sunbathed Lagiacrus takes on a dry, grayish-blue hue, and the spikes on its dermis turn brown. Lagiacrus reverts to its original color of a very light beige when it enters the water, regaining a startling deep blue hue. The enormous, blue aquatic leviathan known as Lagiacrus is adapted to living in tropical environments. It can move through the water fast thanks to the support of its limbs and tail as well as its hood-like construction.
When it uses powerful electric assaults, the dermal spikes on its back glow white, and when it is agitated, its mouth gurgles with electricity. Lagiacrus are able to stay submerged underwater for up to half a day without coming up for air. The large dorsal spines on its back are used to release its electric attacks alongside a possible electro sac below each spike. It is able to release this electricity by contracting its cells at high speeds inside its muscles.
When it does this some of the electricity actually combines with some of the mucus in its mouth, allowing it to spit out lightning projectiles from its mouth. In other regions, the Lagiacrus is able to bend the lightning it creates around it, yet how it does this is still unknown. Lagiacrus has two electric organs unlike the electric eel, known as Hunter's organ, and Sach's organ, which are two main parts for electrical charge.
Breaking its dermal spikes reduces its ability to use electrical attacks. When low on stamina, it will fail to use its electrical charge attacks.

Lagiacrus is the top predator of its habitat, and even predators such as Rathalos and Rathian prefer to keep out of its way. Of course being the Lagiacrus' only real competition besides each other, the Fire Wyverns would be considered a threat to a Lagiacrus, as would a Lagiacrus to a Fire Wyvern. Lagiacrus's control of Thunder Element makes it a dangerous adversary in the aquatic habitat it resides, even for the well defended Gobul of Flooded Forest. Even Plesioth that migrate to the Deserted Island and Flooded Forest would be wary of the large and powerful leviathan as its powerful electrical attacks can easily cripple or even kill the Piscine Wyvern. This would cause Plesioth to avoid Lagiacrus and its two Subspecies at all costs. Lagiacrus are known to feed on fish, lobsters, Kelbi, Aptonoth, and Epioth.
In the Old World, Lagriacrus still reside as the top predator of their environment, the Jungle and Ruined Ridge. They prey on the local herbivores and occasionally other larger monsters such as Velocidrome, Bulldrome and Arzuros. Due to their size and strength, most predators would choose to stay out of its way. Monsters such as Rathian, Mizutsune and Plesioth would rather retreat than fight back against a Lagiacrus if its attacking. That being said, other powerful top predators such as Rathalos, Nargacuga, Zinogre and Glavenus are still capable of fighting back and driving off the Lagiacrus if necessary. But with its electrical adaptations, even the mighty Deviljho would know it's better to stay away from the Leviathan. A Lagiacrus either will eat an Epioth, or come up on land for air to recover Stamina - however, both often give no indication of Stamina recovery.
The only known predator of the Lagiacrus is the Elder Dragon Nakarkos, which has been observed using its electrical organ to perform electric attacks of its own.
Lagiacrus is a big blue aquatic leviathan that thrives in tropical waters. Its hood-like structure, combined with its limbs and tail, allows it to move fast through the water. Lagiacrus may stay underwater for up to half a day without coming up for air due to their larger lungs. The enormous dorsal spikes on its back are employed to deliver electric attacks, and there may be an electro sac beneath each spike.
When it does this, some of the electricity actually combines with some of the mucus in its mouth, allowing it to spit out lightning projectiles from its mouth; in other areas, the Lagiacrus is able to bend the lightning it creates around itself, though it is still unclear how it does this. It can release this electricity by contracting its cells inside its muscles at high speeds, and the skin is made of copper and gold because gold is valuable in applications like electrical connectors and contacts due to its resistance to oxidation and corrosion.
The "Lord of the Sea" is a kind of Leviathan known as a Lagiacrus. Lagiacrus will swim in a circle to create a whirlpool to hunt and catch prey. Fish and other prey are sucked up by these whirlpools so that Lagiacrus can shock them to death before eating on their meal. On occasion, these whirlpools are employed to capsize ships and boats.
Lagiacrus is found only at the Deserted Island, Flooded Forest and Misty Peaks. It's most at home underwater, but is more than capable of fighting on land. Despite its ability to come up on land, they prefer to stay by deep waters. They rarely need to travel far from water, due to the abundance of prey in both of their tropical environments.
Lagiacrus is a species of saurischian wyvern that is invasive in Oceania, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. It occurs in tropical, subtropical, temperate, and Mediterranean regions. Because of the Isu's most idiotic ideas, Norman Osborn classified the Lagiacrus and its subspecies and Rare Species, as invasive species in the Monster Hunter franchise. The collider gateway in the East Asian steppe allows numerous worlds to join our globe, causing the First Civilization's society and culture to collapse due to competition, habitat damage, animal attacks, and volcano eruptions.

As they were tranquilized by gunfire and put into a vegetative state, the Lagiacrus used drugs to repeatedly overdose. After emerging from an egg, Lagiacrus are swiftly controlled since the survivor is always within 17 radii of the hatching egg. Fish flakes, fish flesh, any meat, fish eggs, or fish meat wrapped in seaweed can all be used to control untamed Lagiacrus.
Project Pashneia, a scientific project by the Terran branch of Deities to produce any animals, monsters, or humans in terms of their own, was used to create Lagiacrus, like all creatures.
