The Abyssal Lagiacrus is a robust, 100-year-old Lagiacrus that has grown enormously over the years and has totally relocated to the deepest part of the ocean due to its enormous size. Compared to its more common relatives, Abyssal Lagiacrus is substantially bigger, towering even over some Elder Dragons. Its shell is shiny black and bioluminescent, unlike its relatives. As a result, its body is coated with brilliant blue light spots, which match the hue of its hood spines and electricity-generating dorsal spikes. Its mouth is a vibrant electric blue, and its eyes are a startling crimson that seems to glow among the murky depths. Compared to other Lagiacrus species, its head and upper neck have horns and spines that are longer and more pronounced.

With all of its spikes flashing consistently at maximum intensity, it seems to be completely charged at all times. Similar to the explosion of the Ivory Lagiacrus, it is capable of firing electrical blasts from its mouth that hurl pulses of electricity everywhere. Unlike its cousins, the Abyssal Lagiacrus is renowned for using the motions of its serpentine body to produce underwater whirlpools that can confuse hunters and position them for a fatal strike.

The Abyssal Lagiacrus is constantly charged up due to a different organ from its Shell Shockers, known as a Dynamo. Very little is known about this organ, though it is being researched by the Hunter's Guild. It is said that this organ turns the sea around it into an electrified weapon. In order to catch prey, it uses its glowing scales as a tool to attract deep-sea prey to its location. This makes catching prey easier for it. Just like its younger kin, Abyssal Lagiacrus uses whirlpools to capture and drown prey.

When the Abyssal Lagiacrus enters near-death experience mode, it emits a shimmering blue and black glow and has the ability to create terrifying illusions that can cause the enemy to pass out from extreme fear (when on land) or be stunned by the enhanced paralysis of the Abyssal Lagiacrus (when underwater). Additionally, it might give electrical power to its ability.

Breaking its dermal spikes reduces its ability to use electrical attacks. When low on stamina, the Abyssal Lagiacrus will fail to use its electrical charge attacks. When low on stamina, it will fail to perform its electric blast attack. It has no natural means of recovering stamina; however, it will simply restore when it becomes enraged. Because traps cannot be set in the Underwater Ruins, the residents in this habitat cannot be captured—much like Elder Dragons, except the Abyssal Lagiacrus is captured when it's on the land surface.

The only known monsters who could pose a threat to this creature are an adult Gobul, Ceadeus, Goldbeard Ceadeus, Nakarkos, Ancient Serpent, Namielle, and Alatreon.

An typical Abyssal Lagiacrus measures 3969.3cm (9 meters in Earth Responsibly universe). The Abyssal Lagiacrus lives deep in the sea. Abyssal Lagiacrus' scales have darkened as a result of its time in the dark depths, allowing it to blend in. Though it has darkened in color, some of its scales emit an unearthly glow. Abyssal Lagiacrus, unlike younger individuals, is constantly charged with energy.

The strength of Abyssal Lagaicrus is comparable to that of Elder Dragons, making them formidable predators. The Abyssal Lagiacrus are thought to be the gatekeepers of the underworld despite the fact that very little is known about their life.
