The Lesser Dunewyrm (Harenerpa arabica) is the fictional species of dragon introduced in upcoming story of Weather Dragons.
The combination is named for dune and wyrm, a kind of dragon.
Small and slim, the Lesser Dunewyrm is a drake that looks like an eel and a sandfish. They have twitching ears, four tiny horns, little legs that are now flippers for swimming or digging in the sand, a tail fin, and a dorsal fin from the waist down. Their skin color is yellowish brown below and above peachiness for Dunewyrms. To protect themselves while swimming, dunewyrms have a third eyelid. The five species of Dunewyrms, in contrast to most dragons, all have a third eye, also called the parietal eye, a light-sensitive organ on top of the head. Although it is not necessary for proper eyesight, this structure is involved in hormone cycles, body temperature regulation, and possibly even predator detection.
To make them smoother and safer, the Lesser Dunewyrm's horns shrank in size and appearance. This species, which is a vertebrate, has an iris shape that is similar to that of squid and cuttlefish. It also has a special capacity to discern light polarization, which improves its contrast perception.
The Dunewyrm uses this body as a mistake for the sand, much like an antlion. The Dunewyrm uses their mouth with a worm-like tongue out of their bait to wait for the next prey. This fang was set to paralysis and immobilized the enemy with a single bite. This animal also spews sand and saliva.
The sand that Dunewyrms consume is saved in a unique organ in their body that combines the sand with their mucus and uses it as a weapon to harm prey.
Compared to the majority of other sand-dwelling animals, dunewyrms have a very distinctive appearance. They can swim in the sand like the Cephalos thanks to their long, thin fins, and they can also "crawl" on land like pinnipeds by utilizing their flippers. The Dunewyrm's back limbs have fully deteriorated, but their front limbs have transformed into fins. They periodically have to jump out of the sand since they are unable to breathe in the sand.
Rodents, insects, lizards, small birds, theropods, and sick or weak animals are among the food sources for dunewyrm. Additionally, these animals are well-known scavengers who clean the surroundings of any dead animals. However, because they are lower on the food chain, larger creatures prey on them. Additionally, they eat Jhen and Dah'ren Mohrans' leftovers, like Delex.
Until a threat provokes them, dunewyrms are usually quite peaceful. Dunewyrms will either run away or engage the threat when aroused. One Dunewyrm living alone or in a group is quite weak.
Dunewyrm was a very abundant and endangered species. This creature was divided into two subpopulations: the Western and Eastern subpopulations. The Western Dunewyrm was located in the Sonoran desert, and the Eastern Dunewyrm was located in the Arabian desert and the Sahara desert as well. Prior to Princess Anastasia's event, this animal was not endangered, and it was not evaluated as a species until the Russian revolution and Chameleos' eradication by Koshchei and Grigori Rasputin, when both were killed by Lord Shiva and Zorya, including Ded Moroz.
This animal in the Arabian desert was extinct from overhunting, while the African one was protected by Arabs to avoid the controversy.

The Dunewyrms were tranquilized by bullets, made unconscious, fed while unconscious, and used narcotics to continuously overdose. Alternatively, survivors must steal the Dunewyrm's egg in order to tame it. When these eggs hatch, the babies must be fed any type of milk, which can be gotten from a variety of sources.
The Dunewyrms are immediately domesticated when they hatch from an egg because the survivor is always within 11 radii of the hatching egg. If the Dunewyrm isn't already tamed, you can tame it with a whip, fish meat, any meat, seaweed-wrapped mice or meat, or fish eggs.
