The multiverse is the hypothetical set of all universes as based on the setting of the same name from the Marvel Comics (and Marvel Studios) and the DC Comics, it is a collection of infinitely many alternate realities and dimensions.
Together, these universes are presumed to comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe them. The different universes within the multiverse are called "parallel universes", "flat universes", "other universes", "alternate universes", "multiple universes", "plane universes", "parent and child universes", "many universes", or "many worlds". One common assumption is that the multiverse is a "patchwork quilt of separate universes all bound by the same laws of physics."
The worlds within the multiverse share a space and fate in common, and its structure has changed several times in the history of Earth Responsibly storylines.
These universes have been officially designated in their respective films and serve as a central component to that story's plot according to the Time Variance Authority (TVA) is a fictional organization depicted as a group of timeline monitors tasked with preventing the existence of certain timelines that are deemed too dangerous to the multiverse.
Rapunzel's Universe (Main Timeline or "Justice Universe") - (TVA Code: World-001)
Since this plot served as the baseline universe, World-001 is the name for the main, mainstream Earth Responsibly universe, which is home to the majority of stories (mostly in real life) and characters, including original characters or fauna (from fictional, mythological, and real-life figures) and beloved characters or fauna (from Disney and Pixar, Assassin's Creed, Marvel Studios, 20th Century Studios, American Broadcasting Company, Sony Pictures, Capcom, National Geographic, and Lucasfilm). Sagas fall into two categories: Past and Present Incidents (or PaPRIn, set in the pre-2100s) and The Recollections of Queen Arianna (also known as TROQA, set in the post-2100s).
The main characters are varied; mostly it was Queen Arianna of the Corona Kingdom as both narrator and observer.
In 2026, Harry Osborn, the son of Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, dubbed this universe the "Justice Universe" since it is controlled by the Time Stone, which Doctor Strange now uses, and justice is defined as treating people fairly. A number of disciplines and philosophical subfields, such as ethics, rationality, law, religion, and fairness, are used to interpret what "deserve" means. By running courts and upholding their decisions in society and the environment. The state can seek justice under the Assassin Order, the Templar Knight, and the Hidden Savior/Monster Hunter, who turned against the main culprit, Abstergo Industries.
Wirt and Beatrice's Universe (or Post-Paleolithic "Corruption Universe") - (TVA Code: World-002)
In World-002, which Harry Osborn from World-001 dubbed the "Corruption Universe," corruption persists under the leadership of the Order of the Ancients, who were eliminated along with the Assassin Order and Templar Order. The planet has advanced technologically and magically, and prehistoric animals are still alive and used as weapons (unlike in most universes, they are now extinct). Despite not being dystopian, communist and self-centered authoritarian governments around the world turned paradise into a nightmare by establishing the New World Order. Characters from Cartoon Network, as well as some non-CN characters (such as Luz Noceda from The Owl House), call it home, and it is governed by the Power Stone, which Wirt now uses.
The main characters of this universe are Wirt, Greg, and Beatrice from the USA, as well as Elmer Michel Rasolomampionona from Madagascar and Isolde Mills from Belarus.
Because humans and other hominids, such as elves and dwarfs, either never hunt them, domesticate or semi-domesticate some species, or are technologically limited by their presence, extinct animals in this universe are unique and have survived into the Holocene. Although there are still global riots, corruption, and climate disruption, animals migrate or adapt rather than collapsing, and this universe drastically alters human society. Beatrice from their parallel universe claims that these creatures are strategic assets rather than pets. According to folklore, the lack of reflection is associated with soullessness or intruders, which explains why some animals in Rapunzel's or our universe were unable to see to the parallel universe character or fauna's lack of reflection in mirrors or vision.
The following is a list of several creatures in Rapunzel's universe that are unable to see parallel universe individuals in person or that reflect off of mirrors:
White-lipped Tree Frog (only it feels presence and croaks to call others)
Nile Tilapia
All Suncus shrew species
All Damselfly species
All Dragonfly species
All Brine Shrimp species
Beagle (only it feels presence and barks to call their owner)
Horned Demon
Vampire
Ghoul
Macaroni Penguin
Stymphalian Bird
Hamerkop
Shoebill
Mediterranean House Gecko
Dogs, wolves, foxes, and panthers are employed as trackers; ground sloths, cattle, bisons, and sheep as living battering rams; elephant birds as tanky rams; mammoths and elephants with armored platforms as battlefield shock units; Deinotherium as a means of breaching infantry lines; and dire wolves and cave lions as terror weapons. The majority have guns, and occasionally they have AirPods or headsets to prevent eardrum damage close to the firearm. As a result, cities are constructed with moats and reinforced walls, fortifications and urban design advance more quickly, and open plains or infrequent wood warfare becomes exceedingly risky. In order to combat new threats and riots, modern mechanized warfare has been growing for ages.
By the 20th century, most militaries had replaced animals with tanks, blimps, and airplanes; nonetheless, certain countries continued to use megafauna for warfare in the jungle, mountains, or Arctic regions, and guerrilla organizations used ancient fauna as weapons when vehicles or robots failed. As Queen Arianna collaborates with William Miles, Shaun Hastings, Harry Osborn, Peter Parker, Thor Odinson, Loki Laufeyson, Ryu Hoshi, Akuma, Ken Masters, and others to defeat the World-002 weaponized fauna using World-001 creatures because most animals are born with magical abilities due to modifications made by the First Civilization during the Bereshit Era in the Paleolithic, Beatrice thinks, "Elephants but bigger, smarter, and far more dangerous."

Neo-Japonica Universe (Hiro Hamada's universe; TVA Code: World-004)
In World-004, which Ned Leeds, Peter Parker, and Harry Osborn from World-001 dubbed the "Neo-Japonica Universe," the Order of the Ancients was ultimately destroyed following World War II, and both the Assassin Order and the Templar Order were eliminated when the Tenno of Japan defeated the Western Allies and Japanese forces defeated Germany and Italy. The world has made the same scientific and magical advancements as World-002, and the same animals that were used as soldiers or weapons in both World-001 and World-002 are now extinct, unlike in most universes. All of the Big Hero 6 characters, including Baymax and Hiro Hamada, reside in this universe. It is governed by the Reality Stone, which later Baymax now uses.
In this alternate reality, Japan emerges as the only Axis victor and the world's leading power. Its development encompasses Australasia, South and Central Asia, Siberia and Eastern Europe, Pacific islands, and Hawaii, some of which pose a threat to the local population and biodiversity despite its ruthless growth. The leaders of the Philippines, Indonesia, Palau, Papua, Sulu, Malaysia, Timor, Russia, and Brunei rejected the requests of the royal families of Tonga, Samoa, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, China, and Hawaii to rejoin. Japan achieves early technical dominance in areas such as nuclear energy, computers, and rocketry. Japan's response was to remove Nazi racial ideology, disassociate itself in private, and publicly lament the Axis leaders as "fallen allies." Instead, Japan places a strong emphasis on emperor-centered universalism as it aggressively pushes into Eastern Europe, Northeast Africa, South Asia, Mongolia, Central Asia, and Polynesia because Emperor Hirohito was insane and wanted these regions to become permanent protectorates. Japan becomes the only Axis survivor in this universe.
As Japanese administration coexists with Anglo-Australian elites, Australia becomes a military territorial region, fully assimilated with non-Japanese Asians, Europeans, and Indigenous Australians; heavy industrialization and naval bases for Anglo-Japanese and Aboriginals. Now known as Aotearoa, New Zealand is occupied, presented as a protectorate, and completely absorbed by non-Japanese Asians, Europeans, and Maori. The majority of the surnames in both nations were Japanese, and they were always Christian and Indigenous religions.
These islands became crucial to Japan's dominance in the Pacific: New Caledonia, Samoa, Kiribati, Norfolk, Pitcairn, Tahiti, and Tonga were converted into naval logistics hubs; indigenous governance was preserved symbolically despite being completely assimilated by Japanese officials; cultural Japanization was limited; and pragmatic rule was implemented. For scientific and symbolic reasons rather than demographic, Japan would claim Rapa Nui, formerly known as Easter Island. This prefecture was rebranded as "Ancient Pacific Civilization," demonstrating Japan's pan-oceanic destiny, preserving archaeology, preventing major Japanese settlement out of fear of the Rapa Nui people, deporting all Chileans, and preserving indigenous autonomy as an imperial showpiece. Like Kyoto or Angkor, Easter Island becomes a cultural and mythological gem.
Certain regions, such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, and Turkiye, have Japanese military bases all over the place, local elites rule under Japanese supervision, the Japanese emperor is known as the "Protector of Civilizations," Japan backs Indian independence in an effort to weaken Britain, India becomes a semi-aligned empire that is fully annexed, Japan struggles with the complexity of Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist religions, and Nepal and Bhutan maintain monarchies as prefecture states. The majority of people are already Buddhists, Hindus, Jains, Jews, and Muslims; there are a few large-scale Shinto conversions, but they are too unstable.
Due to the Japanese Empire's expansion, some areas, such as Afghanistan, Nepal, and the Middle East, were never completely subdued; instead, they served as barriers against uprisings and were governed by warlords, monarchs, or councils under Japanese governor-generals, as well as ongoing low-level insurgencies.
Because of the language barrier, Christian traditions, strong nationalist memories, and close proximity to vanquished Europe, Japan is unable to assimilate Eastern European culture. After the Japanese government conquered Eastern Europe, it became a militarized occupation zone with technocratic governments and underground resistance for generations. As a result of how this empire came to be, Japan eventually concedes autonomy, maintains military control, and Eastern Europe marks the start of imperial fragmentation.
Unlike the universes of Rapunzel, OTGW, and ourselves, Japanese Empire is home to non-Shinto religions that hate Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, and Indigenous spiritual traditions. However, when the Japanese Empire eventually reforms indigenous protests and resistance movements as a result of numerous taboos, Japan embraces state Shinto primacy while maintaining cultural plurality for all races and preserving local faiths as "ethnic heritage" rather than political systems. This is a globalized version of a Meiji- and Showa-style compromise.
A less centralized Japan emerges, maybe an empire with powerful states (like American states), or one that avoids radical Westernization, maintaining regional power bases. As a Japanese-led imperial council, the United Nations continues to exist and has emerged as the primary adversary of the Japanese Empire.
Unlike the universes of Rapunzel, OTGW, and ourselves, Japan's initial phase focused on major atrocities such as Nanjing, forced labor, biological experimentation, and later phase change. Japan understands that for an empire to be sustainable, its ecosystem and civilization must be legitimate. The Americas, Africa, and Europe are all covered for war crimes against Japan. Japan constructs a narrative of "Cultural Preservation Empire," which is later "acknowledged" but reframed as a wartime necessity. Indigenous and ethnolinguistic opposition compels governmental reform.
Because of Yamato, Okinawan, and Ainu, Japan has long accepted intermarriage in colonies, unlike our, Rapunzel's, and OTGW's universes. Polynesia, Southeast Asia, Hawaii, Australia, East Asia and Mongolia, Melanesia, South Asia, Middle East, and Eastern Europe all had high rates of intermarriage in this scenario. Austronesians, Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Thais, Malays, Javanese, Aboriginal Australians, Europeans, Blacks, Indians, Balto-Slavic, and other people all have mixed identities with Yamatos and Okinawans. A new multicultural identity emerges in Imperial Japan.
There are two ethnic groups in addition to the Yamato people. The population of Okinawan grows, Okinawans become naval elites for non-Japanese settlers, and Ryukyuan culture is perpetuated as an imperial maritime legacy. Others are Ainu, who, in contrast to both worlds, were revitalized under imperial ethnographic initiatives. Yamato and Ainu people kept Hokkaido Ainu language as potentially resurrected Ainu dialects in the Kamchatka Peninsula, and they served as symbolic evidence of Japan's "benevolent diversity."
Corruption, anti-government demonstrations, terrorism, persecution of Yamato and Okinawan, conflicts between humans and wildlife, and gang violence brought on by a group of Bōsōzoku plague parts of Asia, Oceania, Eastern Europe, and Japan in this reality.
In contrast to Rapunzel's and Wirt and Beatrice's universes, the Japanese wolf (Honshu wolf) and Hokkaido wolf in Hiro Hamada's universe never go extinct because Emperor Meiji fears losing his dignity. As Japan becomes a leader in rewilding science, these wolves are preserved as holy imperial animals and later released to Northern Asia, Siberia, Hawaii, South Island of Aotearoa, and Southeast Australia.
Sika deer, Japanese serows, Japanese macaques, Japanese wolves, Iriomote cats, tanuki, green pheasants, carps, giant salamanders, and a few other species were brought to their seized territories by Japanese officials. Local ecosystems in all colonized prefectures are frequently disturbed.
In this universe, animals from Marvel Comics and Capcom were now in grave danger due to persecution, habitat loss, conflicts between humans and wildlife, and overexploitation by the Japanese Empire. Because of the avaricious and inevitable growth of the Japanese Empire, Hiro Hamada realizes that the fauna, such as Rathalos from World-001, are more powerful than this one from World-004.
In this universe, spot-billed pelicans and sarus cranes from the Philippines never going to exist.
In this universe, Japanese Empire officials are prohibited from hunting Elder Dragons, larger animals, or Guardians since doing so would be insulting to the nature and cause ethnic groups to lose their faith.
Disney's 2014 animated feature film Big Hero 6 is set in Australia in San Fransokyo, a portmanteau of San Francisco and Tokyo. Sydney, Australia's San Fransokyo was established following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the early destruction of San Francisco by a Reality Stone-cursed Nergigante. This location was served as a prison for Malekith the Accursed, who is alive and starved at the bedrock layer of San Fransokyo.
San Fransokyo began as a plot of land in Australia that some Japanese immigrants settled on in the early 1900s, long before the city itself was planned. However, history was altered when a greater Nergigante that Malekith had subdued unleashed unimaginable destruction in San Francisco during the 1906 earthquake. Lenore Shimamoto, one of the founders of this Australian prefecture, wanted to construct buildings close to Canberra that merged Japanese and American architecture, making San Fransokyo a center of Japanese culture that encompasses a wide range of ethnicities in addition to the predominant Eastern and Western motifs, making it somewhat of a melting pot.
in World-004, Malekith the Accursed was still alive at Australia by Juno, Aita, Thor, Loki, Balder, Heimdall, and Sif during the prehistoric times; and Thanos and his allies were killed earlier in outer space by Uatu.
English has emerged as both a global elite language and a prominent second language within the Japanese Empire along with Javanese, Malay, Cebuano, Tagalog, Atayal, Maori, Hawaiian, Tongan, Arrernte, Palauan, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Ainu, Japanese, Korean, and Okinawan.

Our Universe/Real Universe - (TVA Code: World-616)
Sacred Universe/MC Universe - (TVA Code: World-200)
The MCU's multiverse centers on a universe sometimes referred to as the "Sacred Timeline" or World-777, which also describes a bundle of closely aligned, infinite timelines that do not lead to the emergence of a Kang variant.
The multiverse is believed to be explained by the eternal inflation system; however, the exact nature of its existence is largely unknown to its inhabitants.
