At last, Berbania is unveiling its guardians from deep antiquity, which are more akin to living relics than merely fauna. If the Seven Wonders are cultural anchors, then the Pragmata or Berbanian Pragmatics—in Dairkan as Chanjutthos, in Corachan as Ñapsatyr, in Dermochlorian as Ngkuraň, and in Iljewaran as Vhadkotta—are primordial biological anchors, older than most species, older than nations, and connected to the planet's fundamental systems.
Pragmatism is a tradition of philosophy that sees language and thought as tools for prediction, problem solving, and action rather than explaining, representing, or reflecting reality. Pragmatists believe that most philosophical topics, such as the nature of knowledge, language, concepts, meaning, belief, and science, are best understood in terms of their practical applications and accomplishments.
The "Pragmata" are more than just monsters; they are pre-Four-Race species (possibly connected to the Berbanian First Civilization), they are living regulators of planetary equilibrium, and they are mythical beings connected to tectonics, atmosphere, oceans, and energy flow ("magic fields"). They were found in 2523 AD, following Terran space colonization. Although each species gives them a unique name, they all concur that "they weren't intended to be attacked" because of the exoplanet's Berbanian shamanic, Confucian, and Nestorian traditions.
Berbanians consider these to be sacred creatures, not gods, and maintainers of equilibrium, disturbing them to the point of global catastrophe. They are seen as objects to be studied or used as weapons by Terrans or Sky People. However, (Post-2523) is seen by Terran-born Berbanians as indestructible ecological keystones. Confucian and Nestorian scholars are engaged in heated argument about the finding of these creatures. Many people think the Pragmata were created by the Berbanian First Civilization to act as a biological defense layer for the planet since they are "more disciplined" than current monsters. Do the de Fiori family and RDA scientists were think the Pragmata were born as a biological "failsafe" to activate only if the seals on Asraq's Antarctic jail started to weaken the BFC, given their disciplined character and existence beneath these temple analogs.
Sathrok
Lion-like ancient alien. Sathrok is an alien with a massive leonine body that resembles a cougar or lioness. It has a crystalline mane, two yellow eyes that light like molten metal, and four leonine limbs that are strengthened like stone pillars.
Abilities: Sathrok releases seismic roars from their mouth to cause controlled earthquakes, can harden its body into rock-like armor by absorbing minerals to regenerate, is immune to lava to prevent melting except for their mineral armor, and can avoid fall damage by reflexing their body. Despite this, falls from high-rise buildings can still result in serious injuries, which are frequently addressed by vets.
Continent: Dirthsao
Home: Anderson Mountains (Sejong Mountain Pillar, New Baltimore Province, Ghesario; an Eiffel Tower analog)
Ueti
Whale-headed crocodilian. Ueti is an alien with a crocodile body and a giant whale skull head. It has four blue eyes that resemble deep ocean voids, a tail that resembles an ichthyosaur, and rough scales covered in algae and sacred patterns.
Abilities: Ueti is a alien that controls floods and river currents. Its gill-like frills on their neck allow it to inhale massive amounts of water to their cheeks before releasing it as pressure bursts. It also makes low-frequency noises that induce hypnotic tranquility or dread in people's thoughts. If its master is provoked, it can summon smaller animals that serve as drones or schools to attack the enemy.
Continent: Hirojafza
Home: Alliabani Temple; a Temple of Pythons and El Castillo analog
Xushglip
Colossal anaconda-like. Xushglip is a serpentine alien with a body that extends kilometers underneath the Taj Mahal replica. It resembles an anaconda or python, with two eyeballs embedded along parts of its body and scales as hard as steel that reflect light like polished marble. The last extant species in the ancient genus that is thought to be linked to Bamza, animals that resemble snakes, was Xushglip.
Abilities: Xushglip may distract partially underground, produce pressure fields that crush adjacent objects, squeeze their bodies to cause earthquakes without an epicenter, release scents that cause nausea and hallucinations, and discharge bluish flames and fireballs that are not listed in periodic table standards. In South Kihangor, Xushglip operates beneath the Mukherjian Palace, an analog of the Taj Mahal. Its enormous size and underground lifestyle suggest that it plays a part in preserving the geological stability of the temple's foundations.
Continent: South Kihangor
Home: Mukherjian Palace Grotto; a Taj Mahal analog (Underground)
Hidzar
Wolf-headed bat demonic. Hidzar is an extraterrestrial that resembles a bat and has a pterosaur-like posture. It has a long tail resembling Rhamphorhynchus, a wolf-like head with luminous teeth, and a fur that absorbs light and is unaffected by heat or cold.
Abilities: Hidzar yells loudly from the mouth to confuse opponents. It differs from other Berbanian fauna in that it can change its body from warm-blooded to cold-blooded, allowing it to hide in the dark to avoid detection by using heat-seeking rockets or thermal-seeking goggles. This species can use its tongue to take blood of any color without becoming sick. Hidzar only feeds on fear-driven brain activity around dawn.
Continent: North Kihangor
Home: Krishnia Church and Cavern, a Savior on the Spilled Blood analog
Jholpseu
Baleen whale-like demonic pterosaur. Jholpseu is an alien that resembles a massive whale trapped in glaciers. It has white skin, a gigantic dorsal limb larger than a billboard, a body coated with glowing ice veins, and a mouth that filters energy particles rather than water. The two remaining species of the genus of aliens that resemble baleen whales, Jholpseu and Ueti, are the most closely related to one another.
Abilities: Jholpseu use their gills and nose to create fog oceans and ice storms. It regulates ocean currents beneath ice and, immediately after being absorbed by gills to gather snow, blasts a snow vortex on its mouth. It instantly calms all Drepesedio animals and releases "songs" that affect the climate.
Continent: Drepesedio
Home: Lake Consak, Frostland, Drepesedio; Lake Vostok analog
Khrukas
Butterfly-winged eel. Khrukas are aliens with long eel bodies that resemble shifting universes. They have enormous, iridescent fins that mimic wings. It creates aurora-like light energy trails in the atmosphere.
Abilities: Khrukas can distort perception of time and space by using its energy ball on its mouth like a rocket launcher, and it may generate illusion fields to confuse opponents. Similar to a combination of a snake, albatross, worm, and eel, it can fly, glide, swim, crawl, and dig alternately.
Continent: Jacksonia
Home: Kuron Amsai, Santamaria, Jackson's Islands; Nan Madol analog
Gueanoya-rotha
6-limbed, 4-winged dragon
Abilities: TBA
Continent: Tiqojarha
