Tholindis is a young woman with short green/blonde hair adorned with a golden hairpiece. She wears a white short dress with detached sleeves. A darker blue symmetrical layer with gold accents wraps over the dress, secured by a belt at her waist. Her outfit is completed with white ankle boots. Despite being of the Crimson Moon Dynasty bloodline, Tholindis has ordinary purple eyes.

According to Aether, the Fourth Descender and ally of all nations, he knows to Tholindis that she's one of descendants of Queen Anastasya or the Tsaritsa, and her husband, the Third Descender, Saarelainen. Pure-blooded Khaenri'ahns constitute a separate biology from other human populations of Teyvat as the curse of the wilderness does not affect them; only Khaenri'ahns descended from surface humans can turn into hilichurls (except for Kaeya, Dainsleif, Capitano, Pierro, and Arlecchino).

People with a strong Khaenri'ahn bloodline can be easily identified by their eyes. The general population have distinctive pupils in the shape of a four-pointed star, while those descended from the Crimson Moon dynasty have red, X-shaped pupils within black irises. However, a person whose bloodline is greatly diluted might not have any characteristic eyes.

Tholindis was the first-ever Teyvatian character to arrive on Earth-200001 or World-001, even before the arrival of both Vesna Strivozha and Arapacati in April 1998. Her soul was arrived in August 8, 1890, possibly to be landed on the Canary Islands, before Phineas Horton created three Solar Jewels.
