The French surname Soletoile is a rare portmanteau of "soleil" (sun) and "etoile" (star), which both indicate "sunny star." This is why their family members have a cold-blooded, star-like fire.

Estrella is a European girl with beautiful blue eyes, pale rosy cheeks, brown hair and eyelashes, and a snub-like, aquiline nose. Her favorite colors for clothing are blue, yellow, and purple; Estrella's wardrobes were just not mentioned in the text.

Estrella Marie Soletoile nee Compere is the only child and daughter of Sharon Compere and David Soletoile, and she and her father were descendants of Aldrich "Alrich" Soletoile, a mentor and teacher of Arianna de Corona and Antonio de Leon Pierre before the French Revolution and Tangled Adventure events.

In their respective years, Nilan Punzalan and Estrella Soletoile were born in New York City, New York State. She was born on March 14, 1973 AD, into the wealthiest extended family that immigrated to the United States from France for the most tragic reasons—her maternal grandmother was killed by the Templar Order and the Assassin Order, which formed a temporary alliance against the members of the Hidden Savior in the 1980s.

In 1987 AD, Estrella and Nilan Punzalan were childhood friends and later lovers due to helping the little girl who later became Lucy Stillman and her siblings from a landslide during the field trip in Washington state.

Aldrich Soletoile acquired the hydrogen style arcane, a magical ability, from his ancestors and descendants. As with thermites, which undergo an exothermic reduction-oxidation (redox) reaction when ignited by heat or a chemical reaction, this magic is thought to be more lethal than bombs. Their surname in French means "sunny star" because Estrella learned the magic by just hitting or firing, which is not explosive but may produce short bursts of high temperature and heat.

Estrella is the only main character that can detect any piece of Eden that she can smell or hear. As a result, Estrella's hair changes its color from brunette to light yellow, with a glow outside the keratin hair.

Estrella was a selfless and upbeat girl who would make the ideal partner for Nilan Punzalan Pradep since she could relate to both the Stillman family and Sharon Soletoile and Karikaalan Pradep. Estrella is aware of her desire to assist with the Stillmans and Pradeps, as well as later the Mullers and Punzalans.

Because Estrella adores natural living things in all three realms, she was not frightened of the tiniest or largest creatures she came across. As Estrella exploits the Punzalan half-brothers, including their rivalry over their strategic approaches, she can also be fun and a little sassy.

In 1997, both Francisco Muller and Nilan Punzalan Pradep were separated from other means; Nilan and his allies escaped when Abstergo Industries raided their hideouts after both Templars and Assassins were purged by Abstergo and their allies, terrorist groups. Francisco Muller was abducted by Templar Knight members and attempted to be executed until he was saved by white furry men, the Yetis, where he and the perpetrators are in the Himalayas for sedition against Templars and supporting Diana Spencer.

In the same way as Haytham Kenway killed Aldrich's parents hundreds of years ago in Brittany prior to Tangled Adventure and Assassin's Creed Unity, Sharon and David managed to leave alive, and his daughter Estrella also managed to escape when Abstergo Industries killed David's parents. David's family escapes and is saved when he uses booby traps and C4 bombs to kill adversaries inside his residential home. They then take a private plane to Orleans, France.

Following the intense events, Lesley and David were met and responded by Noel Punzalan, Lesley's brother, and her father, Wagum Jarum or Ginhawa Punzalan, who discussed the couple's predicament and the safety of Nilan and Estrella.
